Enjoyed our stay here, it was a welcome break from the 40deg heat further north The park at this time of the year was only a third full, 80 mile beach is set up for beach fishing and not a lot else, however they do try hard to maintain the grass and keep it green, however it a bit patchy by the end of the season. TV (12 Channels) and Mobile phone (Telstra 3G) are broadcasted locally. Cost was $43 P/N 2A. The amenity blocks are sufficient with lots of hot water. Good for a couple of days more if you’re a keen beach fisherperson

Powered sites $45 p/n. Unpowered $35.00. Amenities clean. Road into park very dusty and a bit corrugated in sections. You need to arrive early or all the powered sites are taken. The price of the park is becoming very expensive.

Plenty of water and good pressure but needs extra filtering before drinking. Management request you to water grassed areas. Power generated on site be careful of power fluctuations with electronic equipment.

Liked:- Quite a nice park. we could not get a powered site on arrival, but could have the next day, they do not take bookings. However as we had a nice sunny spot in the morning, the solar did the job just fine, and we stayed on the unpowered sits for a few days, powered sits are $6 per night extra. the beach is very close and beautiful at high tide and perfect for swimming. At low tide you have to walk about halfway to Madagascar to get deep enough to swim.
Local Information:- Plenty of fishing at 80 mile beach and beach access driving is real easy.
Road Conditions:- Road in not too bad. small amount of corrugations, but if you take it easy, no hassles.

We chose to stay on unpowered generator site even though a powered site was available from the second day. The amenities are OK but a long way from some sites. The generator area is furthest from the rest and was very good because we rarely had neighbours. Water was okay and available on unpowered sites. TV was available on a relay from the office satellite and Telstra coverage was 3. Fresh bead each day in kiosk was excellent. Not much to do here except fish, collect shells or read a book. Would return for a relaxing stay.

Lovely clean, well maintained park. Good sized grass sites, clean ablutions but could be under pressure if park really full. Good water, hot showers. Good shop, make own bread, cakes pies and sausage rolls every day. Meals available 4 nights a week from the kitchen, morning teas some days. Markets twice a week on the grassed area, with proceeds from music going to RFDS. Nine kms of dirt road to access park. Powered sites first come first served, no bookings. $41 per night x 2 adults. Power goes off twice in the day for about 2 minutes when they change the generators over. Very nice Vietnam Veterans War Memorial which is well looked after. Very impressed.
