Due to unforeseen circumstances we had a 2 day unplanned stop at the park. We found check in easy and the park was explained to us. As previously mentioned the ablutions are old but very clean, there are 2 separate laundry’s and a dump point. The park has very little grass and for the most part it’s a bit dusty but that goes with the area too. There are plenty of sites and it looks like the park is used a base point by campers for local tourist activities such as the Bungle Bungles. We found that the nearby businesses etc, backing onto are noisy in the morning and as such there were a lot of campers getting up earlier than expected. My wife sampled the pool and she liked it although she commented it was very cold. We went unpowered @$34/night. Suitable for a few days. Local services include an 8 bed hospital/clinic nearby.

The amenities were very clean but quite old and the showers looked very run down and very basic.
Average staff friendliness. $40 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is reasonable. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean pool. Suitable for overnighter.
Liked:- Because the park was almost empty we were able to drive through and stay hooked up using 2 sites.
Disliked:- There was a pool but the owner seems to use it as a locked yard for her 2 large dogs, our neighbours asked about using the pool and she did remove them eventually and open it up, but didn't seem that happy to do it.

$38 is far too much to pay for this dust bowl of a caravan park, but it is the only park in town so it's a case of take it or leave it! It also has the untidiest permanent sites we have ever seen. Most sites are drive through but you will have to unhook. There is not much shade. One amenities block looks like it has been renovated recently and the other one needs renovating. Only a short walk to town. Free wifi at the Visitor Centre.

Reception was very pleasant. About 10 vans in today. Bakery in town has great food. Lots of history at Old Halls Creek and worth a visit to Wolf's Crater.. A good stopover.
