Although the park is the dearest in Kununurra, it is about 3.5 k's from the town. At the present the Flying Foxes are a problems in the north, so we were all awakened at 4am this morning to screeching bats coming back from a night of feasting. The stench that came with it was awful. Don't be put off by the bats, they are here for a short time only. The park is on the Lake Kununurra with fish feeding and a local croc looking in every night. The view is fantastic with glorious sunrises and sunsets. Although the airport is close by, we were not bothered with the planes. The park in general is very quiet after i9.30pm.

Good laundry, kiosk, car wash, dump point, secure entry, van parking, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- During the peak season, a Barra Burger every Friday night at $15. All proceeds go to charity.
Disliked:- Sites and park very tired looking. Lots of fine dust around. This park is over 40 years old. The park changed its name several years ago. Sites 40 & 41 back onto the dump point which a slatted open fence divides the caravans. We both were lucky as the wind drifted the opposite way. If we came back we would insist on sites closer to the water area.
Parking:- Just outside the reception.
Added Touches:- Sunrise and Sunset cruises can be made from office and you can depart from the park.
Local Information:- Pumphouse Restaurant is within walking distance of park.
Road Conditions:- We came from Timber Creek, some sections of road is under construction.
