The "park" is way outside town , away from everything except the local slaughter house and its smells. There was nothing within our walking distance and there was no "shop" for even simple supplies except a paper sometimes. At the cost of $42 per night powered site and $50 in high season we had expectations of a delightful park. The facilities were old but very clean as was the camp kitchen. The park had a large number of permanents and they at least had a few plants to brighten a dull site.
Average staff friendliness, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Poor value for money $42 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, late checkout allowed, disabled facilities, dump point, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Optus, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, many permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Suitable for overnighter, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Sorry to say but not a single thing - never took my camera out of its case.
Disliked:- The site was a slab and uncut neglected grass and dirt - the smell from the abattoir put us off our food.
Parking:- Hard to comply with sign not to enter before going to office but not to block the entrance which is one car wide.
Added Touches:- Nothing offered or available.
Road Conditions:- All roads excellent.

Whole town is tourist minded. The most friendly people and a great place to spend a short time. The butcher gives a special deal when the key is returned - loved ours - the best meat we have had in ages and at a good price as well. The ensuits even have heaters - that's a first for us and a connection to their TV aerial . Soon to appoint a residential manager so hope it remains as good as it is now. Pick up key at pub next door to butcher.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $25 for 2A PN, ensuite, shoulder season. Were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, very few sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites. No rec room, no camp kitchen, no wireless internet available. carrier used was Optus, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanents. No BBQs. Excellent playground, in good condition. No pool. Suitable for few days, suitable for families, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Almost in center of town but quiet. Spotless and the butcher "looks after" campers and the meat is exceptional.
Road Conditions:- Excellent.

Manager's name is Shirley & Barry Beackenridge. Very friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money ($30 2A PN, powered, shoulder season). Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Mostly level sites, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with concrete annex slabs, no sites are shaded, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by. No wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4). Peaceful, open & roomy park, not enough shade, no permanents. Good playground in average condition. Clean pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for few days, suitable for families, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- a little different - a working farm. 15mins to Port Macquarie and 5 mins to Wauchope. Most caravan parks are rather prone to "packing in"; this has plenty of spare space
Road Conditions:- roads all made. 10 mins off the Pacific Hwy
