Lovely location and Ana & Tony are great managers. Booked for a week and stayed 12 nights. Plenty of space but you might need levellers. Wonderful views over the river. Small town has all the supplies that you could need. Amenities of the Park are a little dated but very clean and well maintained.

Stayed here for 4 nights. There are about 50 sites of which a number are nicely grassed and level. Other drive thru sites are mainly dirt or gravel. My site had a lot of bindi but I think that I was just unlucky. Manager Carol is very friendly and a tireless worker. Other permanent residents are also very welcoming and friendly. Camp Kitchen and amenities are basic but well maintained and clean. Park is right next door to the footy oval and about a 10 minute walk into town. Interesting town with a great bakery.

A hidden gem run by town volunteers (Norma and Jackie). Large grassy sites with power and water. Amazingly, seven of the sites have en-suites. At $25 a night you could not wish for more. There is one cabin that uses an en suite and bungalow type accomodation at the rear of the park. Camp kitchen is well maintained but there are no general amenities. Volunteers do a great job maintaining the Park. It is an easy 10 minute walk into the town where the general store is very well stocked. Only one pub in the town but it is closed on Monday and Tuesday. For the rest of the week it is open from 3pm. I stayed for 8 nights for a most relaxing and peaceful break.

Great price, great overnight, or longer stop over. Current caretaker, Patrick is fantastic. Only about 20 sites with power and water. All are on gravel, very spacious and level. There is plenty of room for self contained rigs, some on grass. Amenities are small but very clean with hot water. Very quiet at night. Town is a 2k walk. On the way in or out, visit the Arcadia Valley Lookout, it is spectacular.

Great park with all sites seeming to be level and spacious. $26 per night for power and water. Excellent managers whom are very friendly and helped all newcomers on to their site. Amenities small but very clean with laundry attached. Camp kitchen has free BBQs. Small town of only 40 or so people but has a well stocked hardware store and a general store that has all the basics. Hotel is a 2 block walk away. Workers are using cabins In the park but were very quiet and friendly on my visit . I stayed 4 nights.

Cost 2 nights - $50 (Powered Site) Manager - Julie. a very friendly lady who has run the park for some 6 years. Julie escorted us on to our site and gave helpful information re the park layout and town attractions and favored eating places. Park - A medium sized park with about 8 permanents, a few cabins and about 25 tourist sites. All sites had power and 4 or 5 were gravel drive through. Actual sites were spacious enough and level but probably not suitable for a long stay. Amenities block was very basic but clean & tidy. There were 2 toilets and 2 showers for the men and the same for the women. (one toilet for men was out of order on our visit). Water pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water. We arrived in very wet conditions so park was not at it’s best for sitting around outside. Television reception was good as was internet (Telstra). Very quiet park with no highway noise. There is easy access to the reception/office area and also to all sites. Town itself is only about a 200m walk away and a nice playground/park is next door. In our view this is a good park for overnight stays or a few nights.
Local Information:- Barry, “the story teller”, at the Information Centre, The Top Pub (pub is a lot more trendy than we expected and meals were excellent), Trina’s Café, Historic Town Walk, History of the Bushranger Captain Moonlight and the New England Brewery. There are lots of eating places in the town.

Cost 21 nights - $592 powered site. Family owned park for over 20 years. Susan and Jardine and Natasha and Graham are the family members now running the Park. We found them all to be very friendly and helpful in explaining everything about the Park layout and surrounding attractions. Jardine and Graham assisted all newcomers on to their sites which was nice to not have something to worry about at the end of a long trip. In my view, this is a practice that should be adopted by all park owners and managers. A medium sized park with a number of cabins and around 30 tourist sites. A number of these had en-suites and a few were drive through. Actual sites were quite spacious, level and all sites had plenty of shade. Amenities block was new and the fit out was first class. The park also serves as a retirement village and all residences, which were situate at the rear of the Park, were very well maintained. In fact the whole park was beautifully presented with an excellent pool area, games room, camp kitchen and free electric BBQs. Free TV cables were supplied at each site so all televisions programs were available. Local radio station Paradise 101.9 was great for people of our vintage. Free wireless internet within the Park was also provided. The airport is close by and whilst there are a couple of fly-overs each day, they were of no significance. There is no highway noise whatsoever. The Park itself is about a 5 minute drive from an IGA and cafes at Lennox Heads and about a 10 min. drive from Ballina itself. A 20 minute walk gets you to the extensive and attractive Sharpe’s Beach. There are walking trails along the headlands and bike paths into Ballina.
Liked:- A morning tea was also provided every Wednesday morning at the camp kitchen.
Local Information:- Great ocean views from all headlands, whales and dolphins, Ballina township, Lennox Heads “boutique” type shops and beaches, Byron Bay beaches and markets, Heritage town of Alstonville (and the Summerland Farm), Brunswick Heads, Evans Head and Tourist drive via Tintenbar.

Acc. Cost 3 nights - $90 (Powered Site) Hosts - Nita and Peter McIntyre (and Nataline with her new friend Nigel). Our second visit to this Park and again found everyone to be very friendly and helpful. Park - A small Park attached to the local aerodrome. All sites are spacious with lots of grass and can be used as drive thrus. There were also a number of cabins that looked very nice. Lots of camping space was available and toilet amenities were excellent. A small BBQ area was available (free) along with a small laundry. Water pressure was good. A very quiet park at night with minimal highway traffic noise. Access to both reception and sites is very easy. Features – Glen McGrath Statue, Race Course, Iris Farm, Glider Training Aerodrome, Aviation Museum, the McQuarie River, Andonbel’s Alpaca Farm, Naromine Wetlands.

Acc. Costs 2 nights - $47.50 Hosts – Justin and Ann-Marie Devlin – This was an unscheduled stop for us due to car problems and we found Justin and Ann-Marie to be a very accommodating, helpful and friendly couple. Park - Large Park with a variety of sites. Some with en-suites and slabs, some gravel drive thrus and others on large grass sites. All sites seemed spacious enough but not all were level. Blocks and levellers would be required on a lot of the sites. Access to both Reception Area and sites was very easy and assistance with parking was offered if required. Amenities were excellent with lots of hot water and good pressure. Two large covered BBQ (free) areas were very clean and well maintained. Internet and phone coverage was good (Telstra) but television coverage was not good for us. Laundry facilities are available, pets are allowed and there is a playground for young children. A footy oval is located right next to the Park. Features – Henry Parkes History, Elvis Presley Festival, Memorial Hill with spectacular views.
