NSW, Cobar, Cobar Caravan Park

Date of Stay: January 2016 Rating: 4
This is the fifth or sixth time I have stayed at the park. The Management were as usual courteous, gave me a choice of spot to stay in and the animals were very welcome. Many other visitors to the park had pets as well, which means that the caravan park is 'pet friendly'. Only one hassle was that the cistern in the men's toilets were leaking and it was reported. The amenities were clean and great, a shower curtain over the shower and overall nice and clean. I achieved what I wanted to at Cobar and now the Community Radio Station is located in the caravan park and at present the Caravan Park has the best reception for Cobarfm102.9. Will be back there again in March. Thanks to John & Karen for the hospitality. Totally worth the quiet and serene visit.

Spent one night there on the way home. No complaints from myself or the two pooches. It cost me $30:00 for the night. It was cold there as well, and the A/C was on most of the night. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. All drive thru sites so we didn't need to take the car off over night. Overall I was thankful for the stay and was treated with great respect. No problems from me.

Enjoyable park and no complaints from me. I stayed at the Mitchel Caravan Park, after recommendations and I wasn't disappointed at all. Reasonable rates and all sites were big enough for the caravan and a car to park next door,as long as you didn't need to have your awning out.Heaps of grassed area for functions. Steph and hubby have functions on each weekend and you wont miss out any anything at all.Plenty of water pressure,as well one would stick your sullage hose out thru the fence out onto a tree. There is a wifi as long as you don't mind working behind the office. There isn't a dump point there as yet BUT it is on the 'todo' list. Overall myself and the two pooches enjoyed the time (4 nights) and also the attractions around town Overall I enjoyed the stay there.....wouldnt hesitate to stop there again

Qld, Cunnamulla, Cunnamulla Caravan Park

Date of Stay: August 2015 Rating: 4
I have spent two nights here. No complaints at all. Central to amenities. Washing machine facilities and line facilities all good. Showers and toilets all good as well. The park is at the end of Watson street and very quiet at night. Not enough lighting at night, but hey that will improve. Drive thru sites as well as longer visitors. With overnight drive thru sites not really enough room for your awning, but hell you are there overnight, so what do you want. I have been quite happy here. Pets have been treated well and the park is pet friendly as long as your pooch is on a lead and you clean up after them. Overall water pressure great, sullage all OK and also power is near site. For $28:00 per night one can't really complain. Enjoy your stay at the Caravan Park and enjoy your stay in Cunnamulla. There are some good sites to visit. I also found the Mobil bulk fuel outlet on Railway street, the cheapest in town. I am not on a commission either.

Stayed at the park for two nights. I was assisted into my spot, and with the two dogs in the car, I was directed into spot 19, which was against the back fence and near the outdoor kitchen. Great water pressure, and no drama with power at all. Heaps of room for my awning and also for the dogs to have a run. I didn't use the amenities whilst there as I didn't need to, but hey there is a dump point and also washing machine to keep your clothes up to date. For the two nights I was charged $64:80, so I can't complain about that at all. Overall I was quite happy to stay there and wouldn't hesitate to stop there again at a later date.

Qld, Sellheim, Burdekin Duck Roadhouse Caravan Park

Date of Stay: July 2015 Rating: 4
After a stuff up with caravan bookings in Charters Towers, the lady at reception with the park that I was supposedly booked into rang around for me and found the Burdekin Duck Roadhouse and Caravan park had heaps of spare spots. The staff gave me a total run down of everything there and gave me a choice of spots to stay in. What a top spot it was 20 kilometres on the Townsville side of Charters Towers. Great water pressure,no problems with pets, great amenities, very clean and very easy to access. They even had their own take away shop there as well as fuel. Everything was there for you. It was a great three nights stay and I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again.Bugger the Caravan Parks, this place was A1.It wasnt expensive $20 per night...as I had a couple of dogs.....worth every bit of it

Qld, Cooktown, Cooktown Caravan Park

Date of Stay: July 2015 Rating: 3.5
Stayed here for three night and was extremely comfy and no problems. John & Mary were very helpful and guided us to our site and assisted us in backing in.The site was a little uneven but who cares. They park is pet friendly, but please clean up after pooch. As it was holiday season the tariff was a bit high but you have to pay for the use. Plenty of water pressure and also sullage available as well. The amenities block is old, but clean. One complaint that there is only 1 washing machine there and there is no bench in the showers for clothing, but there is a shower curtain and a mat to stand on at the end. The park is up for sale, at least John & Many aren't letting it go down the tubes. There is no pool there, the new owners could put one in there. Also no cabins, but Council have approved this to be done. There is a dump point next to the mens amenities. Overall not bad at all.

Qld, Cardwell, Cardwell Beachcomber Motel And Tourist Park

Date of Stay: July 2015 Rating: 3
I stayed there for three nights.everyone was packed in like sardines. Not everyone had a slab, only the small vans or motorhomes had slabs. I was moved three times due to the fact that being a BIG van, I was blocking those who wanted to park in a small spot. Not worth the money that I spent for the three nights...$99:00 incl. the Top Tourist discount. It rained the last night I was there, and to be honest I was glad to get out of the place .I didn't use the amenities, as I used my own, but used the laundry and that was OK. My advise is don't book in there during peak time its terrible.

QLD, Hughenden, Allan Terry Caravan Park

Date of Stay: July 2015 Rating: 3
I stayed their park for one day and two overnights.OK so there were heaps of caravaners staying overnight on their way thru,BUT the park was OK,there was good water pressure and also sullage and power.I was traveling as a single person and it cost me $40:00 for the two nights.I had no complaints at all. Some of the comments on here I am sorry are not called for.Yes there were those who backed into the van at the other end,BUT it is after all peak season.I didnt use the ammenaties as I used my own.The only one complaint that I have is that the chap that backed onto me was a bit close BUT that was otherwise no worries at all. Overall I was quite happy with the park

Qld, Julia Creek, Julia Creek Caravan Park

Date of Stay: July 2015 Rating: 4
Stayed there overnight and were shown the spot. Gravel & a slab for the van. Good water pressure and sullage available. Power at each site. As I was travelling solo it cost me $20:00 overnight. The amenities were old but clean and tidy. As this is a council run park and the only one in town it is well maintained. Most people that were there were overnight. I do agree that the roads between Hughenden and Julia Creek are terrible and from Julia Creek westwards are terrible as well. There is two fuel stops and fuel was $159:00 per litre for diesel. Enjoy your stay at Julia Creek. I did.
