Manager's name is John & Karen Dineen.
Read the previous reports regarding the facilities. I think they have made some effort to improve as the gents were always clean and apart from one day soap was provided. They are older facilities but well maintained. The grounds have mostly grass which I think is a bonus for this region. Have not commented on prices as we got a large group discount. Note I have listed the cubicles as cramped as quite a few of the ladies have mentioned this. The gents were a good average size in the block I used. If it is important to you, check them out first!
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Powered. Paid $25, reduced for Group booking. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good camp kitchen, dump point, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Noisy, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs fuel costs $1, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Mostly large sites with concrete annex.
Disliked:- Sites on the east side back onto the roadhouse with a truck rest area right on the fence line. Not a big issue except when refrigerated trucks stop there with the trailers powered by small diesel engines. Try to ask for a site away from this part. Free Wireless reception is poor on the eastern side of the park. Better closer to the office.
Parking:- Not a lot of room to pull up on check in but did not appear to be a big issue in the week we were here. The internal roads are wide so if too many vans parked to the left, turn right and park down near the visitors parking. You can still access all the sites easily.
Added Touches:- We were part of a large group and the staff went out of their way to help.
Local Information:- The Bowls Club have a courtesy bus and a Chinese restaurant with reasonable prices and good food but haphazard service. Worth a 2nd try for the food! The museum at the information centre needs updating and some maintenance but worth the money and it took us 2 hours to look around it. The town pool is just a couple of blocks away.

Liked:- Close to town. Friendly staff who let us chose the sites for ease of parking. The pull through sites are large and easy to navigate. Overall a good park as an overnight stop or for a few days.
Disliked:- When we visited it was mostly service workers with trucks in the cabins. They started work about 6am which meant a couple of minutes of noise but otherwise they were no problem and all friendly.
Local Information:- The park is next to the Bowls Club which has a reasonable Chinese restaurant. Otherwise the options for eating out are limited to the local pubs.

Sites are split into waterfront and others. However the ones at the far end of the park are waterfront but charged at normal rates due to the wind direction making them blustery at times. We took one and apart from the wind it was quiet and we had a fantastic view. Just be aware that they are closer to the fish cleaning table and dump point which is located just outside the park. Not a problem whilst we were there.
Average staff friendliness, no complaints. Good value for money $28 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Paid $+2.80, reduced for Credit Card Surcharge added. Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, very few sites are shaded, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs fuel costs $1, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. Excellent playground, in good condition. No pool. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Liked:- Right on the water, hence no pool! Step out onto the beach, Sites are well kept with hard stand for van and most have an awning area paved.
Disliked:- Seems to be mainly annuals out of season with most having boats.
Local Information:- The pub has reasonable meals with a fish emphasis. The local museum is an absolute gem and better than all the rest we visited.

Small park that has just a few permanents and is located next to the creek at the entrance to the town. Well maintained with spotless and near new facilities, soap and handdryer provided. Laundry, pool, dump point, free electric BBQ etc. Some drive thru sites, but you would have to unhitch if your van is longer than around 22foot internal.as the sites straddle two access roads. If stopping longer than one night then ask for a site backing onto the river which are shady and flat. Friendly staff who explained the layout. Walk across the bridge to the town and Aldi is close by if you need supplies. Would be fine as a base to explore the region and good value at $33 a night and is Top Tourist.

SA, Naracoorte, Black Cockatoo Bush Camp

Date of Stay: September 2014 Rating: 4
Manager's name is Liz & Ken.
A bush camp around 15kms from Naracoorte run by Liz & Ken as a retirement business after selling most of the farm. We attended as part of a large group and were made very welcome, with Ken bringing large branches to a fire pit for everyone to enjoy. There are a few powered sites but power is only available when the generator is running during daylight hours. Same for the showers which need the generator for heating in one block. Small dormitory is available with 4 bunks for those without accommodation.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money for 1A, unpowered, off-peak season. Paid $8, reduced for Group Discount. Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites. No rec room, basic camp kitchen, dump point, no wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 1. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. wood BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park.
Liked:- Very friendly staff who made sure that the facilities were always clean and did tours of the sites collecting any rubbish frequently. Choice of sites in the shade, on grass, in the open etc. Something for everyone!
Disliked:- Some campers had very noisy generators but they have a policy of all off at 9pm.
Parking:- The sign says, find a spot and we will find you! I suggest calling ahead to make sure there is no large group booked, but there is still room to camp away from the groups if you wish.
Added Touches:- Old Yabbie ponds are stocked with Perch for fishing and there is a 3km bush walk on the property. They also offer a 4WD driving course on the property which is popular with 4WD Clubs. You have to see the ladies toilet around the back of the "Hayshed". Worth a photo!
Local Information:- The National Trust wool museum in Naracoorte is excellent and good value at $6 Senior. See the computerised sheep shearing machine..Fascinating!
Road Conditions:- The dirt road to the park is well maintained.

Vic, Marong, Big4 Bendigo Marong Holiday Park

Date of Stay: August 2014 Rating: 4
Previous reviews cover most of the detail so I will just add comments. This is an excellent park, well run, well maintained and thoughtfully arranged. Small features certainly help with items such as wider boom gates and room to swing a larger rig when entering or leaving. Great recreation room with Coonara wood heater in winter. Washing up liquid, sponge etc. provided in the BBQ area for cleaning up. Great clean, modern facilities with lots of hot water. The only less desirable features would be some of the sites are smaller, so ask when booking in and there is some road noise from the highway at night, but not too obtrusive. Overall a really great park to stop and good value.

NSW, Coonabarabran, John Oxley Caravan Park

Date of Stay: October 2013 Rating: 2.5
I have interpreted some of my report, as I walked in the owner had just heard of a family medical emergency but still took the time to book us in. I know he was stressed as he told the next people they were full despite offering me a choice of 3 sites. Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money ($28 2A PN, powered, off-peak season). Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. No rec room, secure entry, no wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 1). Quiet, open & roomy park, plenty of shade. Clean gas bbq (free), dismal bbq area atmosphere. No playground, no pool. Suitable for few days.
Disliked:- Sites are a little haphazard but owner was easy going and let us chose a site that suited. Some occasional truck noise during the night but not annoying.

NSW, Griffith, Griffith Caravan Village

Pool is only open from 8am till 5pm when the office closes. Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money ($29 2A PN, powered, off-peak season). Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to some sites, very few sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. No rec room, basic camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, no wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4). Quiet, open & roomy park, not enough shade, a few permanents. Clean gas bbq, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool is shaded. Suitable for few days, well maintained park.
Liked:- Haven't been to this park for many years and the current owner has it very tidy, clean and inviting. Unfortunately he is also selling. Hopefully the new owner is just as good.
Disliked:- Close to the railway line but not too many trains.
Parking:- As you enter the park, turn to the left, marked by a sign indicating a V style route. Stop outside the office and book in.

WA, Denham, Denham Seaside Tourist Village

Date of Stay: June 2012 Rating: 3
Whilst most sites are easy to reverse into you need to tell them the size of your rig as they vary greatly. Some sites are in haphazard places, just squeezed into spare spots around the park. A new area is being completed at the rear of the park and is completely level but close to the Monkey Mia road so you will get some traffic noise. At the moment if you have a large van, bus or 5th wheeler then I suggest you pre-book as the larger sites are limited. Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money ($ 2A PN, off-peak season). We paid $$33 because of Top Tourist Discount. Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, hot water was usually adequate but not when busy, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, very few annex slabs, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4). Quiet, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, no permanents. Clean UC gas bbq (free), dismal bbq area atmosphere. No pool. Suitable for a week or more.
Liked:- Great views from some sites, particularly the upper level ones. Beachfront access from the park, wander down at night and look at the stars
Disliked:- Exposed to the ocean storms which can be severe. The sites are all crushed shell which can carry into vans and damage the floor coverings
Local Information:- Small supermarket directly across the road for any forgotten supplies
