Qld, Bowen, Queens Beach Caravan Park

We have stayed a couple of times here and will stay again.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money, powered. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean pool, pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- Very quite and secure park.
Parking:- park at reception.
Road Conditions:- Good roads.

Qld, Gin Gin, Gin Gin Showground

First time we have stayed at these Showgrounds and will not be the last. Very helpful Caretaker.

Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, adequate taps close by. You can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more.
Parking:- Drive in and speak to the Caretaker.

We will be back to this park, a great place to park and visit the beautiful areas around this region.

Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- Spotless amenities, friendly staff with large well grassed and maintained sites. Brendan can not do enough to make your stay enjoyable.
Parking:- Plenty of parking at reception and on the side road leading into the park.
Local Information:- Great info pack given at reception.
Road Conditions:- Good roads in every direction.

Qld, Hervey Bay, Pier Caravan Park - Urangan

Very busy park.
Average staff friendliness, no complaints. Reasonable value for money, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, very few sites are shaded, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Noisy, claustrophobic park, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Disliked:- The fellow at reception and maintenance seems like he does not like his job.
Parking:- Park at reception.
Road Conditions:- Good roads in all directions.

We have stayed here a few times and love it, quiet, clean amenities, great short walk out to the viewing area of the wetlands.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and only left because we had a booking elsewhere. This would be one of the best parks we have stayed at anywhere in Australia and will be back.

Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good rec room, good camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade. Clean UC BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- Beautiful drive through site with hedges both sides for privacy and plenty of room.
Parking:- At reception.
Local Information:- A short and lovely drive into Ballina and Byron Bay via Alstonville and Bangalow.
Road Conditions:- All good.

Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, very few annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 2. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Excellent playground, in good condition. Clean pool, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- Plenty of kangaroos roaming around park and bird feeding every afternoon.
Parking:- Drive in and park at reception.
Added Touches:- Pizza night on Saturday with wine tasting (Pizzas not to be missed) and out door movies.
Local Information:- Fishing and canoeing at the dam and some great walks to be had.
Road Conditions:- The road from the main highway is a little narrow but fine if you take your time.

Great over night stop or stay for a few days to explore. Entrance is across from the Shell Roadhouse and will suit all vans and 5th wheelers. Drive in and setup the caretaker will collect fees in the afternoon.
