SA, Mannum, Mannum Caravan Park

Date of Stay: December 2018 Rating: 4
A great park with a real family atmosphere. We stayed over New Year and it was quite crowded, but still seemed to cope well with the number of people. Park is now a member of Top/Discovery group.
Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, disabled facilities, dump point, secure entry, book swap available, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Optus, reception quality was 2. Noisy, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Good playground, in good condition. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Well maintained facilities and good rubbish collection. The park is right on the river, so boating and fishing are popular.
Disliked:- Key pad entry to toilets is a bit of a pain, particularly if your eyesight isn't good.
Parking:- Check-in bay at reception
Local Information:- The park is located right next door to the ferry, don't turn into the wrong lane, with a van it can be difficult to back out when busy.
Road Conditions:- good

NSW, Buronga, Buronga Riverside Tourist Park

Date of Stay: December 2018 Rating: 3
Not sure if I am being too critical, but I found this park to be very tight. The sites are so close together there is not enough room to park the tug on site. Maybe it was too close to Xmas and they were reasonably busy, but I wasn't impressed with the sites or the cost - $32 on the first night and then lumped to $37 on the second. Needless to say we didn't stay a third night.

NSW, Wellington, Wellington Riverside Caravan Park

Date of Stay: February 2018 Rating: 4
This park is located just off the highway as you cross the river, coming from the south, although my GPS sent me to the other side of town. This is quite a nice park and the manager was very friendly and helpful. Only about 10 sites and mostly cabins elsewhere. I think the cost $35 for a powered site, which seems reasonable, the facilities were clean and adequate. A bit of road noise from the trucks at night but otherwise not too bad.

NSW, Byron Bay, Glen Villa Resort

Date of Stay: February 2018 Rating: 4
This is a well maintained park, although I consider it a bit expensive at $46 per night for a powered site. The park is like all parks in Byron Bay and full of Backpackers, but they were well behaved and observed the rules.
Friendly staff, average staff response to complaints. Poor value for money $46 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Inadequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motor homes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, disabled facilities, dump point, secure entry, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Optus, reception quality was 4. Noisy, open & roomy park, adequate shade, many permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Clean pool, pool is shaded. Suitable for few days, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Well maintained lawns and gardens.
Disliked:- They mostly use backpackers to do the cleaning, so it can be a bit hit and miss. The backpackers have taken over the camp kitchen area and it isn't always very clean or tidy.
Parking:- Parking available for one van at check-in.
Local Information:- Byron Bay seems to be busy all year round, the traffic is chaotic and with all the international drivers around, it can get hairy at times.

NSW, Ebor, Ebor Falls Hotel Motel Caravan And Camping

Date of Stay: February 2018 Rating: 4.5
This park is located at the rear of the pub and only has 4 grassed sites with power and water, but it is good value at $20 per night and the meals in the pub are good value. I think the pub is now under new management and they seem to be doing a great job. A great place to check out all the local parks and waterfalls.

NSW, Corindi Beach, Corindi Beach Holiday Park

Date of Stay: February 2018 Rating: 5
I agree totally with the last report. This park is brilliant, the cost has only increased to $40 per night for a powered site and the facilities could not be better. Woolgoolga is only a 10 min drive and has all the usual shops and businesses you would need.

Qld, Nanango, Nanango Caravan And Motorhome Park

Date of Stay: June 2016 Rating: 3
Manager's name is Robin Wood.
This is an "All Ensuite Park" generally the ensuites are a bit tired but this is reflected in the price, there is plenty of hot water and the ensuites are quite roomy. The manager offers a number of deals depending on length of stay and how close you want to be to the highway.
Friendly staff, average staff response to complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $39.00 for 2A PN, ensuite, off-peak season. Were clean, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, disabled facilities. Mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, no sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Poor laundry, basic rec room, no camp kitchen, late checkout allowed, disabled facilities, dump point, van parking, book swap available, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Noisy, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Dirty wood BBQs are free, dismal bbq area atmosphere, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- This park is convenient to town and suitable for an overnight although there is free camping closer to town. On some occasions they have a Camp Oven Dinner which is cheap and cheerful.
Disliked:- The facilities are a little run down and maintenance is lacking, but the lawns are mowed and everything worked.
Parking:- The office is located some distance inside the park, so parking isn't a problem.
Road Conditions:- All roads are good in the area and I think it is a better route around Brisbane than the Bruce Hwy.

Qld, Texas, Texas Van Park

Date of Stay: April 2016 Rating: 3
Manager's name is Selwyn.
Selwyn was very helpful at the site and for general info. Although this is a fairly small park, it is well maintained. I think most tourists stay at the free camp near the river.
$26 for 2A. Sites will accommodate medium to large vans. Carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5.
Liked:- Personal and friendly managers, convenient to town.
Disliked:- The sites can be a little small for the big vans.

Qld, Laidley, Laidley Caravan Park

Date of Stay: April 2016 Rating: 2.5
Manager's name is Brad and Roxanne.
Brad and Roxanne have been working hard to turn this park around, but they still have quite a bit to do. Although the amenities block is old, it is clean and well maintained.
$30 for 2A. Sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers. Carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4.
Liked:- The managers were very friendly and ensured our comfort, they made an effort to remember our names. Park is handy to town and shopping.
Disliked:- On the approach the park looks very good and well maintained but inside the park still has a tired appearance and many of the permanent and have been relocated. A little disappointed they are putting permanent cabins/lifestyle villas in the park, but it is a sign of the times.
Parking:- Only space for one van to check in, but plenty of space outside on the road.
