This park could be a short walk into town but it was hot. Friendly managers upon check in. It is a well kept park the drive thru sites are a bit weird and thankful no one else was there your car has to be on a bit of an angle but can remain hooked up though and a concrete slab for the caravan. A bit expensive though for 1 adult and might try the other park which looked nice and green.
Friendly staff, no complaints. Reasonable value for money, powered, off-peak season. Paid $30.00, reduced for Chain discount . Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good. Annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic camp kitchen, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs fuel costs 20 cents, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. Clean pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for few days, well maintained park.
Liked:- The drive thru sites, the pool was tempting, pet friendly and well looked after
Disliked:- Paying for BBQ when you pay your site fee
Parking:- Not a lot but on road booking as on side street
Local Information:- Didn't see any koalas as it was too hot, rural museum was undercover and dogs allowed on leash, did the drive around Gunnedah which great look outs
Road Conditions:- From Tamworth, was a good road be wary of oversize trucks with support vehicles bringing mining equipment down

I stayed here after seeing it on the internet. The phone number advertised on the net was wrong and I was calling it all day. When I arrived the caretaker was gone and I was still calling the incorrect number. People there directed me to a site which was undercover and the reason I wanted to stay there as they advertised undercover sites Majority of the undercover sites were unavailable with chairs, and other stuff there and the power points unsuitable but I have an adapter so was ok. The caretaker was ok not overly friendly and sat in the car and waited unti lyou came to him. At $25 per night for 1 adult was expensive for what you got. Basic amenities but nice showers neithertheless warm and good pressure. There were vans in another section but was thankful I didn't have to move as a storm and big wind came and felt very secure. the following morning though it was needed all undercover, not sure what the power is like in that section A lot of bindies around bt that is everywhere and dog friendly too the only park in Muswellbrook, unless you stay our at Lake Lyell The sites are not too hard to get into and seem in a good are. There is pacers training in the afternoon and they are very friendly guys who will talk to you. Nice area to walk around in

I have stayed here a few times, the managers from last year are here and very friendly, they take you to your site and direct you in, unfortunately they didn't show where the power was though. The new camp kitchen is up and running and look great but the BBQ area didn't look so great but run down so was looking forward to a BBQ bt cooked inside the van instead. Quite a few drive thru sites or they allow you to take up 2 sites even when they are busy. Quite busy that night. only downfall was I wanted TV reception and whether the TV blocked the signal or my antenna but I got nothing, think it was the position as I did mention it upon check in but still got nothing. There is a sign in the park and on the information that dogs are allowed off leash around the edges of the park supervised but as it was busy when I was there they requested not too, but still a lot of room to moe around. lovely warm showers and well mainained park

This park needs to communicate between the staff and also the guests staying there. When I checked in they had a new guy on the counter, and when I showed him the family parks card, he had no idea what it was or anything. I had made a booking but nothing was there they could find Then the entrance to the park was closed off, and no idea where to go, when got out to ask how to get in, was told but not sure if the manager was there or not, but asked have you paid, and wasn't that friendly either. Finally got in and found a site, you are told to pick any site you want that doesn't have a black garbage bag over the pole. So found a nice shady sites, many sites to chose from, some defined other you know by a pole being there but very spacious with a few trees, some close to the amenities others would be a fair distance away. Went to do the caves tour which I was there for, the 2.30 one was full of kids, and was told there was another one at 3.30, so went back then to be told, no there isn't, it was 2.30 apparently didn't matter that you pay to stay there and the tours were full of school children, so agreed to the 4 pm to be told, no we don't do them for 1 person. to say I was unimpressed is an understatement. The Japanese Garden across the road was lovely to walk around, small but very nice. Management could learn to be friendly and nicer, no smiles or hello, when they ask you questions it is more of an inquistioin than anything else. Some staff are nice, others when training and leaving them to take bookings, should be trained before left, AT $29 a night for 1 adult before the discount, I thought was slightly expensive but seems parks are becoming more expensive. there is a swimming pool which is quite small with some chairs poked around it but would be great to cool off on, a undercover BBQ and camp kitchen too. You can find a site away from others and even when full I don't think it would have the crowded feeling

Nice small park, with either concrete slabs or gravel for the van, and a nice billabong and grassed area. even though it is an all ensuite park I thought $33 for 1 adult was still a bit expensive the ensuite was very small, and no windows, just slats in the brick and could get very hot, not a lot of room to move around what so ever, and nothing much to hang your clothes up on and the floor gets wet. You are taken to your site and shown on, not really drive thru sites but they fit you in as a drive thru which is nice and takes up 2 sites, some sites are small but some will fit on the larger vans and 5th wheelers you are shown where to plug the power etc into. I didn't see much else where, no pool or playground or even BBQ area that I saw Away from traffic noise which was good and dogs allowed too, would be a short walk into town, but as we were there for one night, we didn't do it. There is a lovely little fairy garden there to lit up at night

I was really looking forward to staying at this park and doing the walks, unfortunately I had to go back to Sydney due to a death in the family and my holiday ended suddenly. I emailed the caravan park to see about getting my deposit back, they said that they could hold it for 6 months but unable to refund it, then to 12 months, as this was my annual leave for the year and Killarney is a long way for home, I am unable to go back I work in hospitality and do understand about paying deposits but believe that under extenuating circumstances that the deposit should be paid back like we do here, which is good customer service. I would not be going back to this park again which is a pity as I was looking forward to staying there, even though it was a small amount, every bit counts

This was a lovely park, unfortunately the site I chose seemed to be close to the septic but in the end hardly noticed it. Was a lovely spacious park with green grass, one or two slabs, grass or dirt sites. the sites were drive thru and most easy to get into, with power and water near by. it was pick your own site, and the site I picked had shade for most of the day too which was lovely. They had BBQ but only one seemed to work, you get a key from the office, there is no playground or pool there, which was good, and a lovely short walk into town. dogs on lead, in the park with I think 2 dog friendly cabins. Nice amenities with great showers, loved the pressure you got from it, and also a disabled bathroom if needed. I paid $20 a night for 1 adult for 5 nights, which was discounted, I think for 2 adults it is about $28 per night Dogs are allowed out at Sliding Springs on lead, which has a great lookout, and some off leash parks too. It was peaceful even on the main road, with the bush setting

I have stayed here a few times before, and love the fact that it has an off leash area behind it with the river, that my two can have a lovely run and swim on if that wasn't there might of stayed at the Big 4, last time this was cheaper than Big 4 not sure about now. . This time it was very busy, and for $25 a night it was extremely expensive for what you get especially as a showground. There was toilets closish by but the showers were about 200 metres or so away to use. and there is one tap which was impossible to use unless you put a hose on it due to the fact they had fencing up for the horse sales. There was a horse sale the Sunday morning which we were told about but horse floats everywhere and people. There is another area away from it all but there are no toilets or showers there, only one lot which is not opened all the time. The caretaker and his wife were lovely and extremely friendly, going around in the evening collecting money and trying to find a spot for you. in the end there wasn't a lot left, but still able to remain hitched up.

This was a nice park I usually stay at Poplars but tried this one, I was given an end site in the sun with dirt, but they happily let me chose another site, any site I wanted to move there, quite a few drive thru sites many with concrete slab, all of it concrete which makes it easy. Each site has it own power pole and water tap. The sites aren't too big, and some vans can remain hitched up but will depend how big your van are, there are sites that fit 5th wheelers on. The park is on the higher side, catering for familes with jumping pillows and playground and a nice swimming pool, but it also has a small off leash area but enough to throw a ball and let the dogs sniff. The showers were lovely and two amenities block there is also ensuite sites too. there are BBQ scattered through the park and I think a camp kitchen too but I never used it. for 3 nights it cost about $94 with my top tourist park discount, there is a walk into town, across the bridge too I like Dubbo and wanted to see the RFDS and the zoo and more places I need to come back too. The Japanese gardens are nice to walk around with the dogs on leash This park is lovely and also has 2 pet friendly cabins too with a kennels and runs or the dogs are allowed indoors There is a nice walk into town over the bridge that I was hoping to do but I was raining and walks along the river, very dry in places but found also some nice places to take them swimming too. Very hot but had some cool days

This is a basic park with no caretaker on site, they come around in the afternoon and I think morning to clean the amenities. For $15 a night, was pretty good value, for 1 adult, it shows the lack of rain with burs and dry grass everywhere, and a short walk into town which is nice, with lovely bakeries there. It is on the main road with trucks stopping to use the showers, but it didn't bother me at all. The sites are spread out and they could fit many more in if they wanted to, with each site defined by a concrete slab and power and tap. there is only one cabin there and the amenities are in the middle with a camp kitchen also. I found this park great value and was quite popular too. There is no facilities such as pool or playground but these are the parks I prefer to keep the costs down. I had always wanted to go to Dunedoo and now I can say I have It is dog friendly with dogs on lead, but be careful of burrs and walking into town there are some parks there too, most are affected by the drought. The road Golden Highway was good, and some lovely towns to stop at along the way.
