One of our all time favorites. David and Jodie never change. Had a beaut site down the back which is a drive thru. I think $33.00 per night. Good power and water, pet friendly, dump site. Excellent happy hour and camp kitchen. Lots of yearly regulars here as well.

Ok stay here. Water good. Price was about $33 from memory. Good large back in site where we stayed hitched up. Had a dinner on by Rotary in the camp kitchen for from memory $15 per head. Owners have been doing work on the park for a few years now and it is quite attractive. Dump point, pet friendly. Would stay again.

Qld, Mount Isa, Discovery Holiday Park Argylla

Date of Stay: July 2014 Rating: 3.5
First visit here. Pet friendly. $38.00 per night powered 2 people. Site we had was quite good down the back of the park with lots of other vans. Some sites would be a bit tight or awkward. Good camp kitchen, dump point, amenities etc. Large pool. Water quality was very good. Would stay again. We stayed at another park in Mt Isa last time but enjoyed this park a lot more and the vanners were much more friendly.

Qld, Richmond, Lakeview Caravan Park

I really enjoyed this little park. Council park with very pleasant managers. The weekend we stayed was the Richmond Dirt Bike Races in the bush nearby so the park was full of interesting people and bikes etc. No noise at all from the races as they were off in the bush. Water is bore and not the best taste but when it settles it is ok. I wouldn't fill your tanks here though. With seniors discount it was $22.50 per night, bargain. Have a look at the local dinosaur exhibits etc and support a struggling but pleasant country town.

Qld, Howard, Burrum River Caravan Park

Very pleasant little family owned park just off the highway. Pet friendly, good water, dump site, drive through and regular sites. TV a bit hit and miss. Would stay here again and a great little overnighter. Some larger sites as well for motorhomes etc.

Enjoyed our stay. First visit here but will certainly return. Huge park, must be hundreds of sites and they were all full. Top Tourist discount, pet friendly. We had a large drive through. Gardens and grass non existent as the drought has been on for several years now. Didn't matter really just adds to the outback look and feel. Was less than $30 a night with TT discount. Water really good, power, TV excellent.

Very basic park. I am sure they are trying but it falls short in our book. Very smelly bore water that is very hot from the tap so don't use your water heater in the van or you will scold yourself. Power ok, TV no good. Sites a bit squashed as it was busy. Didn't use the amenities as we have our own. They had entertainment and dinner on the night we stayed. I would only call it an overnighter but others may see different. $35 is a bit much for what you get here.

Qld, Charleville, Evening Star Tourist Park

Date of Stay: June 2014 Rating: 3.5
Another lovely stay here. We have been 3 times now and I enjoy it more each visit. Dinner was on offer round the campfire, entertainment, licensed bar, good tidy amenities, dump point, pet friendly. Plus the water and poer are ok. Phone reception and TV are a bit hit and miss. Didn't bother us as the night sky view is far more appealing to look at. Will definitely stay again. I think it cost about $30 or so.

Qld, Hervey Bay, Discovery Parks - Hervey Bay - Scarness

Once again this stay was excellent. We have been coming here now for 4 years and it never varies. Relief managers were on when we stayed this time, Ros & Bruce, and they were also excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Very pet friendly, lovely sites, handy location, free WiFi, spotless amenities. If you are planning on a trip there between now and August make sure you ring as they are probably already booked out for tourist sites.

Liked:- Every time we stay we are remembered (fondly). The managers and owners are just wonderful and extremely helpful and obliging. Waterfront sites are the pick if you can get one.
Parking:- Ample parking for a van or two at the office off street.
Added Touches:- There is always something happening for the kids during the holidays, Easter was an egg hunt and movies in the shed as well as activities. For the adults we found all the other vanners very friendly and have booked for next year to meet up with the same neighbours.
Local Information:- Lots of fishing, golf and water sports around. Great beaches as well or a 4x4 drive in the national park.
Road Conditions:- Good bitumen roads into Iluka. Roads in the park are gravel or bitumen.
