The people who run the park and lovely and do their best to make things perfect. Great new ablutions…. However most of the sites are just dirt - no grass or slab and quite depressing.. A few sites near the front gates are lovely and grassy but these were all full when we came. Be aware that there is almost no TV reception in park. The owners try by lending arials at no cost but this didn't help us any. In my opinion, a park this big should have the TV situation sorted to provide what guests want. The jetty is under repair so difficult to fish from there...so having no TV just made for a boring week! Many people caught crabs so were happy:)
Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints. Reasonable value for money $3 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Paid $28.28, reduced for Stay 7 pay 6 - weekly rate but Top Tourist discount not allowed as well. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, book swap available, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. Suitable for a week or more.

NSW, Sydney, Lane Cove River Tourist Park - North Ryde

Date of Stay: January 2017 Rating: 4
We have stayed here at this park several times. It is still a fantastic place to stay in Sydney as so close to the rail line and it is located "in the bush". Poor cleanliness in the ablutions is its biggest weakness, but we can live with these given the benefits of the location. The ablutions are cleaned well each morning but seem to deteriate quickly as old and poorly designed. Price now increased from $30 a night to well over $40 a night with new management. At least this gives lots more spaces as not so much demand from those who come here every year !! We rate this park a 4 due to the amazing size of the sites and the wonderful wildlife - not the ablutions. We really love staying here. To have access to the great city ogf Sydney with all its tourist sites for such a low price is amazing.

Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq.
