This is again a caravan park that provides an experience. Dusty? Yes but hard not to be in the outback! Large shady sites. Plenty of water. Toilets and showers are set up as "ensuite" so it is like having your own ensuite without the price. Plenty of wildlife and having access to thermal springs is fabulous. Great value for money. Would highly recommend.

Great park and couldn't ask for better assistance from Manager. Alan was great, showed us options for our site, will park van if needed. Amenities spotless, soap, paper towel. Good value for money, safe and secure. Great tourist advice. Will come back.

Options are limited out here, as this is only campground available. Expensive at $45 2 people powered site. Plenty of facilities with plenty hot water. Sites roomy but gravel and dirt. Petrol $2.33-1 a litre, groceries very expensive but you are paying for the view and the experience. The rim walk is worth the effort but do this early in the morning as it gets hot. No communication out here. No 3G, no phone, no internet, public phone at restaurant/bar. Reception mediocre and did not explain much. Dump point on site. Has pool and kids playground.

Great park considering you need to be self sufficient regarding your water but you can purchase water for your caravan very cheaply here. Amenities very modern and clean. Camp kitchen large and modern. Needs better night lighting though. A must do is the tour around Coober Pedy with Fran. You see so much that you do not realise is there. Would stay again.

Good park for few nights stay to stock up. Busy park. Mostly gravel as they have permanent water restrictions. They have some "pretend" grass areas for kids to play on. We stayed in ensuite which was very clean and modern. Good value for money with Top Tourist discount. Managers do a great job in harsh conditions. A large town with plenty of shopping. The Australian Arid Lands Botanic Gardens worth a visit.

SA, Hawker, Flinders Ranges Caravan Park

This is a great bush caravan park. Get to pick your own site. Roomy park, gravel sites but grass doesn't grow out here! Birds everywhere. Reception gave good info on walks and activities. Facilities very clean and tidy. Good dry area in showers. Hand wash, paper towel plenty of hot water. $28 a night. Good recycling activities. Not great TV reception so you actually get to talk to each other. Telstra 3G excellent. Lovely town to base yourself. Not far from Wilpena Pound which has great walking tracks. Hawker only has a general store. No IGA or other so perishables are a bit costly but it puts money back into a struggling community. Jeff Morgan gallery is a "must do". Would stay again.

This isn't really a report on the park but on the experience. This is our third stay at this park and each time it is a new experience. A very busy and very large park. So many options and this time a grassed site. Cramped at times but always changing. Facilities great, very clean and tidy. Suits all budgets. This park is like (for us) the Sydney Caravan and camping show. Here you get to see every possible combination for accommodation. From tents to car top beds to 5th wheelers to the smallest and largest caravans. You get to see what cars work with what caravans etc. Plenty of showers, laundry great and plenty of drying area. Will come again and again.

NSW, Forbes, Apex Riverside Tourist Park

Lovely quiet park on Lachlan River. Very clean amenities, needs shower curtains in all cubicles to keep dry area dry. Easy to park van on site. Roomy sites but cement slabs would be great as it rained while we were there and very soggy under foot. Would stay again though.

Great caravan park with plenty of space. Stayed in more formal section. Had an ensuite which was very clean and tidy. Easy to get into spaces. Although near highway not much road noise. Staff friendly and helpful. Dog friendly. Good value for money. Would stay again. Would imagine very busy and noisy though in summer with waterskiing.

Manager's name is Barb and Rick. Just a great park to stay at. The nicest part is giving Rick the keys of the car to put your van on your site. Some are very tight. Amenities are very clean and tidy. Very safe park, close to beach and shops. Great for a few weeks or a few months. Will come back again.
