Vic, Nelson, River Vue Caravan Park

Date of Stay: February 2015 Rating: 4
Yes access is tight -but we parked our 20 footer without to much hassle at an ensuite site. As it is a small park - only 23 sites, there is plenty of cooperation and assistance both from fellow users and Suzelle, the manager. There is a private access jetty on the river which is walking distance and the fishing is good. Water pressure is not great, but the water is good and hot. There is limited shade, park is well grassed, friendly and inexpensive (2A ensuite site $26). We will be back. Have rated at 4 for the value and the friendliness.

Great park. Stayed twice - once with ensuite site, once without. Both good. Sites are easy to access lighting is good, facilities are clean with good hot water and pressure. There are a lot of permanents, but they were not an issue. Very handy to wineries and the city.

Manager's name is Peter
This park is in the process of transitioning from being nearly all permanents to being a tourist park. New management are going great at the change. Do not be put off by the Google Maps image there are now only a few permanents. Would happily recommend the park to others.
Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $35 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanents. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- Open well grassed, nearness to Peel Estuary and proximity to shops.
Parking:- Limited, but adequate.
Added Touches:- Fish cleaning.

All that you would expect from a Big4. Clean well maintained easy access, good lighting. Although sites are grassed they are sound and well covered, they handled heavy rain well. Family friendly, would happily return.

What a pleasant park in a lovely town. Manager Gary is friendly and very helpful. Amenities are oldish but very clean and the hot water is good. Night lighting is not bright but is adequate. Park is close to all areas of the town Cafe 109 is good for dinner, and The Old Bakery has great chocolate and their Fruit Loaf is good. Not a big park but well worth the stay ($20PN 2A) there is $10 deposit on the amenities key.

As noted elsewhere friendly management and they give discounts for Motoring Association Members. Facilities are clean, heated and the water is hot with good pressure. Great walking opportunities along the river and into town - which is just 5-10 minutes away.
