NSW, Barooga, Brolgaroo Caravan Park

Date of Stay: July 2017 Rating: 5
Manager's name is Reg & Dianne.
We stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed both the park and such friendly managers. Park is only small but so well maintained. Managers cannot do enough for you. The few permanents were extremely quiet and also very friendly. The park has 21 cabins, 10 onsite caravans for hire and 18 Tourist sites for caravans/tents. It is a 5 min walk to the street for IGA, Newsagent, coffee shop etc, and the best nick nack type of shop which you have to walk sideways through and would spend an hour or so to look at all their stock [like a Reject shop] but also has hardware of all types. Cobram's largish country town is about a 10 min drive and has everything you would need. Woolworth's is in the town too. The price per night during Peak period, which only lasts for about 2 months, is $30 and for weekly stays, price is negotiable. We will be back again for the Managers and the peace and quiet of the park.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $25 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, dump point, van parking, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park.

A really lovely park. A short walk to shops. A country town but has all types of shops including an IGA store, bakers, newsagents etc. Freight trains can be heard from the park but did not interfere with sleeping at any time. The park is beside a sports oval, but again, no noise at night. We stayed for over a week and thoroughly enjoyed every minute and will come again. Their 'permanents' (few only) are only staying whilst working in the area. We found them to be very friendly and quiet. I had 5 bars for Wireless Internet through Telstra.
