You get what you pay for with this one.
Friendly staff, average staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $30 for 2A PN, powered, peak season. Amenities are close to only some sites, were dirty, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, kiosk, book swap available, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No BBQs. No playground. Clean pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- Close to town and tourist attractions - Restaurant is ok & reasonably priced - The Barra feeding was interesting.
Disliked:- The amenities were poorly maintained - roads were dusty.
Added Touches:- A free glass of wine on your first night.
Local Information:- Bitter Springs and Mataranka Homestead is close by - Make sure you try a Famous Mataranka Pie. Yum.

NT, Berry Springs, Tumbling Waters Tourist Park

A lovely little park with a great atmosphere.
Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $35 for 2A PN. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, kiosk, disabled facilities, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, many permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No pool. Suitable for a week or more.
Liked:- A Restaurant on site, the Fisherman's Basket is awesome. - Amenities have a shower and toilet in each private cubicle. Very clean, very modern.
Disliked:- Roads are unsealed and can get a bit dusty
Added Touches:- Restaurant, Live Entertainment, Starlight Cinema, Bingo, Trivia , Sunday Market, Freshwater Croc Feeding to name but a few.
Local Information:- Half price meals on Tuesday night at the Litchfield Hotel. - Tidal river fishing within 20 mins of the park. Close to Wild Life Parks - 45 mins to Central Darwin. A big shout out to Helga's Pet Resort for looking after our 2 dogs, highly recommend these guys.
Road Conditions:- Roads are well maintained

NT, Katherine, Knotts Crossing Resort Caravan Park

Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $45 for 2A PN, ensuite, shoulder season. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, disabled facilities, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra. Quiet, open & roomy park, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Clean pool, pool is shaded, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Palm trees provide not only a great atmosphere, but plenty of shade - Park is out of the way, but close enough to be convenient to the town centre and tourist attractions.
Added Touches:- A lovely little restaurant on site with a sea food buffet on Sunday night $37 great value. - Each On Suite Site has a clothes line.
Local Information:- Obviously the Katherine Gorge is a must for anyone travelling this way.

NT, Tennant Creek, Outback Caravan Park

A great little park, we will be back.

Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Kiosk, disabled facilities carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. Clean pool, pool is shaded. Suitable for few days, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Liked:- Happy Hour at the Bar - A Sausage Sizzle to raise money for Leukaemia Research - After hours entertainment from the Bush Tucker Man.
Disliked:- Facilities are old but immaculately clean

NT, Alice Springs, Alice Springs Heritage Caravan Park

Amenities are close to only some sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is bad, variable pressure experienced, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, no rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, disabled facilities, secure entry, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. Good playground, in average condition. Clean pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, park is considered kid-safe, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Far enough out of town to be quiet, but close enough to be convenient - a great fenced dog run.
Disliked:- Amenities are worn and in need of maintenance.

Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean gas BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. Good playground, in good condition. No pool. Liked:- A great lay out, easy to navigate. Far enough out of town to be quiet, but not so far as to be remote.
Disliked:- Site could be better sign posted - a little confusing.
Added Touches:- Best Pizza in town available on site.

NT, Yulara, Ayers Rock Resort Campground

Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate small to medium vans, very few annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra. Quiet, claustrophobic park, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Good playground, in good condition. Clean pool, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- Staff were helpful and friendly. Park is close to town centre and attractions.
Disliked:- Facilities were as I remember them to be from the 1980's, now showing their age, worn and poorly maintained. To honest I was expecting a great deal more from a facility supporting a world class attraction. I felt a bit embarrassed it really didn't show Australia off well to the international tourists.
Parking:- Ample parking available.
Local Information:- Town centre and parking area is poorly lit, I would suggest shopping during daylight hours.

SA, Woomera, Woomera Travellers Village And Caravan Park

A very basic caravan park - facilities are in relocatable huts, clean but worn - grounds are pressed sand / stone - there is a bar and a pizza shop on site, although we did not sample either - suitable for an overnight stay only - you pay for what you get with this one

Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, disabled facilities, dump point, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Good playground, in good condition. Clean pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- Staff were friendly and approachable - amenities were new, clean and well maintained - Free Wifi on site is always a bonus - a restaurant on site open Wed to Sun. Close to Hahrdorf town centre and local attractions.
Disliked:- New owners completely renovating the park - an additional Laundry for peak season would be suggested.
Parking:- Ample parking at Reception and Site
Added Touches:- Suggested a sausage sizzle to the manager, seemed very interested in the prospect. - Camp Kitchen is awesome and includes a big screen TV.
Local Information:- Originally a German Settlement in the Adelaide Hills - Great Food and Beer - Melba Chocolate Factory "YUM" - The Big Rocking Horse & Toy Factory for the Kids - National Motor Museum.
Road Conditions:- Good condition - watch out for the bike riders
