Friendly and welcoming Reception. Generous and well maintained sites, many with annexe slabs. Power and water handy to most sites. Amenities are the ensuite style and very clean. Heated pool and grassy sites were real bonuses.

Friendly and welcoming Reception. Generous and well maintaind sites, most with annexe slabs. Power and water handy. Amenities clean but dated. Shady trees and grassy sites a real bonus. Adjacent to truck parking area which can become noisy so best to try for a site on the western side of the park away from potential noise.

NSW, Broken Hill, Outback View Holiday Park

Date of Stay: September 2018 Rating: 2.5
Mediocre customer service at Reception however some reasonably generous sites just don't expect Reception to know which ones they are. Power, water and sullage generally handy. Amenities are old but mostly clean. Green grass was an unexpected bonus after our continued Outback travels.

Generous sites with big rigs well catered for. Power, water and sullage all handy. Amenities are old but generally clean. Been here before and happy to return.

SA, Woomera, Woomera Travellers Village And Caravan Park

Friendly reception; power, water and sullage all handy. Generous sites with big rigs well catered for. Amenities are clean but quite cramped. Very dry and dusty but it's the same everywhere else in these parts. Be sure to book ahead as it was full the night that we stayed. Woomera is like a ghost town.

SA, Coober Pedy, Oasis Coober Pedy Tourist Park

POSITIVES - Friendly and welcoming reception, water available at certain sites for a nominal fee, very quiet, amenities old but clean, George's tours well worth the $$s. NEGATIVES - Park is a more of a parking lot than a caravan park, all sites are very narrow particularly the drive throughs which end up having less than 2 metres between vans.

This park is out the back of the Caltex Roadhouse which is open 24 hours. The park has grassed areas and 2 drive through sections. There are several power outlets scattered around this area and you simply park as close as possible to the power without parking on the grass. No drinking water is available. Amenities are big and generally clean but overdue for some "spring cleaning" of cobwebs, stains etc. A good overnighter but it fills up mid-afternoon so plan to arrive early afternoon as they don't take bookings.

NT, Yulara, Ayers Rock Resort Campground

Standard of customer service at Reception was appalling. Some powered sites are larger than others and some sites get annexe slabs although they are very small and poorly located. Amenities were large but poorly maintained and often very dirty. Hard to recommend this park ($53PN for 2A) but nowhere else to stay here. Diesel $2.18/L - rip off!

NSW, Coonabarabran, John Oxley Caravan Park

Friendly and welcoming Reception. Generous and well maintained sites, most with annexe slabs. Power and water handy. Amenities clean but dated. Shady trees and grassy sites a real bonus.

Qld, Lawn Hill, Lawn Hill National Park Campground

Date of Stay: August 2018 Rating: 2.5
I heard a rumor that the camp grounds are to be returned to natural bushland and the general appearance is that of being allowed to wind down. There is some maintenance but what appears to be just on a caretaker basis. Lawn Hill is a lovely spot but we won't be revisiting as there is about 85 kms each way of extremely corrugated dirt roads. It took us 3 hours to drive in from Gregory.
