NT, Cape Crawford, Heartbreak Hotel Caravan Park

Average staff friendliness, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money, powered. Paid $28 pwd. Amenities are close to only some sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good. Adequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to most sites, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic rec room, no wireless internet available., mobile wireless not available. Quiet, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No BBQs. No playground. No pool. Suitable for overnighter.
Liked:- The meals served in the tavern are huge and reasonably priced for an outback roadhouse.
Disliked:- Huge Brahman bull wandering around that charged us - explained the s**t in the caravan camping area.
Parking:- Plenty of parking.
Added Touches:- Bus from Booroloola to Katherine stops there.
Local Information:- Gateway to Limmen National Park.
Road Conditions:- single lane road with gravel shoulders - road trains have right of way, keep your park lights on

NT, Katherine, Boab Caravan Park

No camp kitchen so it does not cater for backpackers.
Average staff friendliness, no complaints. Good value for money $40 for 2A PN, powered, peak season. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic rec room, no camp kitchen, kiosk, book swap available, no wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool, pool is shaded. Suitable for a week or more.
Liked:- Best designed bays for reversing, diagonally placed and plenty of room. Long enough to leave car attached, also all concrete surrounded by grass. A few drive through sites for larger rigs. Not far from Katherine Hot Springs.
Disliked:- Entrance to park a little confusing.
Parking:- Reception parking limited.

NSW, Gulgong, Gulgong Showground Caravan Park

Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $10 for 2A, unpowered. Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, drive-through sites. Basic laundry, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- Youth camp draft weekend, so kids and horses everywhere great atmosphere.
Local Information:- Historic town with Henry Lawson museum.

Qld, Gold Coast, Big4 Gold Coast Holiday Park - Helensvale

Motel on site, with many permanent villas. 3 caravan areas - upper has concrete pads, lower has Riverside grassed area and central, ensuites, family and pet friendly.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $45 for 2A, powered, peak season. Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, very few sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, disabled facilities, dump point, secure entry, van parking, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Noisy, open & roomy park, adequate shade, many permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Excellent playground, in good condition. Clean pool, heated, pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided, spa available, toddlers catered for. Suitable for few days, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe.
Liked:- The amenities are top notch, the grandkids thoroughly enjoyed the pool, pet friendly and, staff were always helpful,
Disliked:- The noise from the Pacific Highway which is adjacent to the park is horrendous, which we didn't realise on booking. We were parked up by the pool. If you aren't going to use it ask for Riverside at least it is quieter there. The only reason it didn't get a 5.
Parking:- Only one parking bay for book in.
Added Touches:- Sunday pancake morning, Tuesday evening sausage sizzle.
Local Information:- Near Gold Coast Theme Parks.
Road Conditions:- Right on M1.
