Qld, Cunnamulla, Warrego Riverside Tourist Park

Date of Stay: June 2016 Rating: 4.5
This park is a gem. Couldn't believe it would be so busy and difficult to get a site without booking ahead. Great location besides the Warrego River with modern facilities, well maintained an a great atmosphere. The Park was booked out but they found a space for us.
$33 for 2A. Sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers. Carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4.
Liked:- Facilities were new and well maintained and organised a "happy hour" each afternoon. Very well landscaped which created a very pleasant atmosphere. Friendly feel about the place.
Local Information:- Only there for a night and morning so didn't explore all that much. A nice neat looking town. Fishing in the river . A great butcher shop well worth spending a bit of money in.

Qld, Tannum Sands, Discovery Parks -Tannum Sands

Date of Stay: May 2016 Rating: 4
Had an overnight stay here. Very inviting welcome and good check in service. Asked for a site where we would not have to unhook van and provided one quickly. A little bit of leveling required but could keep vehicle hooked up. Good big sites (although a few looked a bit small). Spacious park and excellent amenities. Seemed to have all the facilities one would want for a stay from overnight to say a month. Walking distance of the town and a great walk along the foreshore. This is quite a remarkable area for a small seaside town. A credit to the local community. Would recommend both the park and the area for a stay if only for a day or two.

Manager's name is Rick.
We were pleasantly surprised by the service, the amenities and the general feel of this park. It is in a fantastic location, close to everything you could want for a Gold Coast holiday. The big mystery was why was it only half full? Maybe we were too early in the winter season!

Liked:- Friendly welcome, but more so the assistance with parking which just happened. The manager, Rick, turned up when we were starting to park, decided our site was not suitable and let us select another site. Parked the van and ensured we were satisfied with everything. Provided assistance on departure without any hesitation. Amenities in very good order and plenty of everything. Beach and Surf Club across the road and cafes etc and Gold Coast light rail within walking distance and bus stop at the door. No need to use your vehicle.
Added Touches:- Free buses to local clubs but did not use these as Surf Club across the street.
Local Information:- It is the Gold Coast so plenty to see and do. We were there for the Blues on Broadbeach which is in May each year. Fantastic FREE event over 4 days.

Qld, Toowoomba, Toowoomba Motor Village Caravan Park

Date of Stay: May 2016 Rating: 3.5
Overnighted here on a Sunday night. Office was closed but caretaker on duty to check-in. This was done promptly with consideration of best site for our situation. Good size sites and ours was convenient to amenities. Park is on side of hill and and terraced so sites are level with concrete pads, some double. Amenities in good condition, clean and spacious. Some sites may be some distance from amenities. Close to good shopping centre and lots of take away type food places and a hotel. On New England Highway but noise was not an issue for us. Good walking paths and park area adjacent to bottom of the park. Overall we found this park to be quite comfortable with the amenities we required. Would use again for overnight or if staying in Toowoomba for a few days.

A smaller park adjacent to the Mehi River and with river access for fishing. Didn't see anyone bringing any fish back but told fish are caught there. Big sites and all drive through which is a plus with us. Female lilydale wanderer loved the women's' amenities. Some fantastic signs and artwork around the place to amuse everyone with a sense of humor

Liked:- Good big drive through sites. Hot artesian spa & adjacent cold spa. Not crowded. Good, spacious amenities. Friendly staff and management.
Added Touches:- Can get pick up to local clubs/pubs.
Local Information:- Moree best known for artesian spas and this park is close to Aquatic Centre although has own artesian spa. Also close by recently created Anzac memorial which is besides Moree Bypass. This is well worth a look and brings home the effect WW1 would have had on a then small community

A great welcome and very obliging staff. Easy to access site and good park facilities. Appeared more aimed at younger travelers. Overall good facilities. A couple of gripes (see below). Traffic noise from Newell Highway although this did not keep us awake too much.

Liked:- Welcoming staff, basic park layout, easy access to site, good amenities and great bbq facilities in the camp kitchen with all cleaning equipment provided (which people used).
Disliked:- The concrete strips on our drive through site were uneven and had moved - not a big issue but could be tidied up. Biggest problem was a lack of paths to facilities from some areas of park. Always ended up tramping muck into the van as paths to facilities were on other side of where most vans are parked.
Added Touches:- Only overnighting so didn't look into any of these.
Local Information:- No as only overnighting but Dubbo has a number of attractions including the Western Plains Zoo and the Old Dubbo Goal
Road Conditions:- On Newell Highway.
