NSW, Brooms Head, Brooms Head Caravan Park

Date of Stay: October 2016 Rating: 2
This park is in a great location right on the beach, but the downside was public access through the middle of the park. Unfortunately we were there in school holidays and kids were riding up and down the streets until 10 pm on scooters and bikes which were very noisy. The amenities were given a tidy up but never cleaned properly for the whole week we stayed there. There was a dead moth that laid in the same spot in the ladies toilet for two days and a small pile of sand in the showers that never moved even after they were 'cleaned'. It was school holidays but there were still plenty of sites available so there was no excuse for not doing a much more thorough job of the cleaning. Staff in office were very friendly and helpful and the park was very reasonably priced.

This is a tidy small park. We were helped to park our van which was great and John actually explained to me how to do it. Been directing my husband since then without a hitch or argument. Cost was $30 per night. Amenities were quite new and very clean. Management were very helpful and friendly.

This is more a residential village with about 12 caravan sites. Park was very untidy and run down. Amenities were clean enough. Lady in the office was very friendly. Cost $30 pn off season. WiFi was available but so slow we were unable to use it. We were visiting family so not much choice of where to stay.

This is very much a residential village with a bit of grassed area for about 6 caravans. Were told to go and find a spot. Sites are not marked at all. We could not find the power for the 'site' we picked until a fellow from across the road showed us that it was hidden in the bushes. The water taps had been removed and are now located all in one spot in the middle of another set of bushes. We had to use 2 long hoses to get the water to our van. Cost was $30 per night off peak. Park is very run down and untidy and management have been there for 8 years! The sign out the front says it is 3 star. I don't think so!!

This small park was lovely. Management were friendly and helpful and had only been there 2 months and it's obvious they want to make some changes. Amenities were very old but very clean. Sites were large and well grassed. Was a short walk into town. Cost was $25 pn.

Park was very overpriced at $38 low season but only two caravan parks in the area so I suppose they will charge the highest price they can. Night lighting was poor, amenities were old but seemed clean enough. Very limited number of sites and power and water was not available to every site. Lots of permanents. Grounds are in great need of a tidy up. Management was friendly and helpful. Very doubtful we will go back.
