NSW, Cessnock, Ingenia Holidays Hunter Valley

Site originally allocated to us was on a corner and way too narrow to have annex open. We were given a choice of other sites instead, which we took. Main amenities block was closed due to renovation works (during school holidays???) and portable toilets and shower cubicles were provided nearby, although frequent queuing was required for a toilet and shower.
Average staff friendliness, average staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Poor value for money $65 for 2A 3C PN, powered, peak season. Amenities are close to only some sites, were dirty, condition is reasonable, water pressure is bad / Variable pressure experienced, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Inadequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate small to medium vans, annex slabs to some sites, very few sites are shaded, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, secure entry, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Noisy, claustrophobic park, inadequate shade. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, dismal bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Good playground, in good condition. Suitable for few days, suitable for families.
Liked:- Playground area for kids, astro turf pads for annexes to some sites.
Disliked:- Noisy at night and early mornings due to being on a busy road. Portable amenities were abysmal and should have been notified at time of booking. Sites were very cramped in some areas. For $65 per night, it represented very poor value given the facilities condition.
Parking:- Adequate parking area whilst checking in.
Local Information:- Close to wineries and Cessnock CBD.
Road Conditions:- All roads were fine in the area.

This is the way all parks of this size should be run. Andrew is one of the best park managers we have encountered and was always around and about to assist where required. Additional services include gas bottle filling (pay for weight filled only). Andrew was very patient with our kids who were excited to be holidaying with their friends. Very sorry to have set your BBQ on fire one night.

Liked:- Fantastic atmosphere, happy hour around the camp fire, Thursday pizza night, uncrowded spaces, very clean amenities.
Disliked:- A number of persons staying at the park were seasonal - working at the cotton gin and solar farm - a few of them were rude and exhibited inappropriate behaviour to our teenage girls. Otherwise all good.
