Liked:- Roomy sites, clearly defined. This is a good park, I don't know why some people are saying there are no good parks in Longreach.

SA, Cactus Beach, Cactus Beach Camping

Date of Stay: March 2012 Rating: 3
Manager's name is Ron Gates. It's been 6 years since we stayed here. There are now flushing toilets. Still the same great location. The road in was in good condition & was graded while we were there. Suitable for 2WD vehicles & caravan at most sites. No drinking water available. Very friendly staff. Very good value for money ($20 2A). You can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 1). Peaceful, open & roomy park, no permanents. No bbqs. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- Location
Disliked:- Wind
Local Information:- Great surfing beach & fishing
Road Conditions:- 20 km easy dirt, some minor corrugations. Take it easy & it'll be OK, suitable for 2WD & van.

NSW, Cobar, Cobar Caravan Park

If there was another park in Cobar, then use it, but there isn't. Way overpriced for what it is. Friendly staff. Poor value for money ($29 2A, powered). Inadequate number of amenities, are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites. Basic laundry, you can use your mobile wireless. Quiet, open & roomy park, a few permanents. Clean UC electric bbq (pay), dismal bbq area atmosphere. No pool. Suitable for overnighter.
Liked:- It was the only park in town.
Disliked:- Overpriced, showers were made of stainless steel with nowhere to put your soap etc.
