Qld, Emerald, Discovery Holiday Parks - Lake Maraboon

Date of Stay: July 2016 Rating: 4.5
We stayed at this Park once again this year on the way North. A clean well run park with friendly staff. They direct you into your site which was very helpful and much appreciated. The sites are large enough and have a slab. Amenities are clean sort of ensuite quite unique ! Friendly atmosphere the Restaurant now open on a limited basis. We always stay here on our way through from "down under" going North and its the first stop for a few days prior to going North and then heading down south again. There is very little if anything negative to say about this park.

We stayed at this park for 4 days in mid July just after the rains have stopped and the road in was opened again. I'm told the road shall be fixed up this year which will be a big help although it was not too bad to get through. The park is absolutely perfect with big areas to park your van ours is 21 ft . Nice clean facilities together with friendly helpful staff it was a really enjoyable stay. The happy hour at 4 pm. The Roast meals and we did the guided tour which was great. We shall visit again and do some more walking great fun.

An excellent first stop to take a rest after the long journey from down South, Melbourne in our case. Park is well maintained friendly and helpful. Staff there to assist you to park the van. Van sites are large and most have a concrete slab. Its quite and they have log fires in the evening. Facilities are clean and self contained ensuits. Stayed first for two days then extended to five before we headed over to the Coast to Bowen. Will stay there again and can truly recommend this park.

NT, Litchfield, Litchfield Tourist Park

This is a little gem of a park. Its the last caravan park after Batchelor and is therefore also close to where the "action" is. This is a CVP where the manager Bernie welcomes you and asks what you wish to see and shows you where to go and which walks you should and could be able to do. Of course the Litchfield National Park is much better organized then the Kakadu and has so many things to see Springs, Falls, Waterholes. Walks, some easy some more demanding. That is why this park the "LTP" was our base camp and we enjoyed the stay so much. Amenities are clean and tidy the camp sites are quite big and many sites with power and water are available. The only thing that you do not have is decent water pressure, although the shower facilities do provide that. There is also a clean swimming pool to enjoy. We tasted the food in the Restaurant the Burgers are quite good if not excellent and come at a reasonable price too.

SA, Coober Pedy, Oasis Coober Pedy Tourist Park

We liked his park because of its central location. Water is always a problem around this part of the world but you can buy good quality water. There is now a "Water service station" where you can drive up to and fill your caravan tanks just like you would fill up with petrol, just make sure not to mix up the-inlets. This facility is however not part of the Oasis Park! Whilst the park is basic the amenities block is brand new and the Missus now wants the bathroom at home remodeled according to the standard we met here! Staff is very friendly and helpful and there are now also drive thru's available which are ideal for a three day stay. As you drive up to the CVP you might have to park on the Road outside the park. That depends however as always as to when you arrive!

Qld, Sunshine Coast, Mudjimba Beach Caravan Park - Mudjimba

Date of Stay: September 2013 Rating: 4
Found this park the only one on the Sunshine Coast that allow pets in without a ridiculous weight measure. What a beauty lots of sites clean tidy and shaded areas. Close to Beach and shops. There are two amenities blocks neat and tidy clean. Two BBQ areas, pool. We stayed here one week and can thoroughly recommend it. Very nice Manager and staff. The site was explained to us and we were given the option to choose. It's only a short hop from Noosa. Finally the pet-unfriendly Sunshine coast has woken up that if you want to attract the Grey Nomads who do not travel in the Holiday periods are a welcome money spinner in the off periods. These people have a tendency to stay longer periods and do come every Year, they are repeat customers. Well done a CVP to be recommended
