NSW, Bingara, Bingara Riverside Caravan Park

I was told that park amenities building was being demolished next weekend. We were told to use one of two "ensuite" facilities. A bit of a wait sometimes.
Friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $30 for 2A. Amenities are close to only some sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to some sites, very few sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic camp kitchen. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Close to some fossicking areas.
Parking:- Park management is only open certain areas. Pull up at office and give them a call. They may tell youwhat site to use or just find a site and we will catch up later
Local Information:- Information Centre in town is very helpful.

NSW, Tingha, Tingha Gems Caravan And Camping Park

Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $25 for 2A, powered. Paid $22.50, reduced for KUI Chain Discount. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, very few annex slabs, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, book swap available, wireless internet is available is free carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 2. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, well maintained park, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Very quiet and welcoming park. Very popular with fossickers. Out all day and would return at dusk. Plenty of room.
Disliked:- A weird layout of facilities. Water taps were in one place in our case 20m from the van while power was about 15m from the van in another direction. You had to ensure no one drove over your sullage hose.
Parking:- Drive in and call the caretaker
Local Information:- Old Chinese Emporium definitely worth a visit and $3 entry fee. Guided tour by volunteers.Tingha Stone women is about 14km out of town on a very rough (at times) dirt road. Our group could not see any resemblance to a woman. Bring your own groceries etc. Town consists of a Pub, a police station, Chinese Emporium, and a sports club that was not open on any of the 4 days were were in Tingha and Rosie's Cafe and "Restaurant" supplying fresh milk, pizzas, chico rolls etc. and a few food staples. No self serve have to ask for what you want to buy. Great little cakes etc.

NSW, Guyra, Guyra Summit Caravan Park

Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided. Some level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. You can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No pool. Suitable for few days, well maintained park.
Liked:- Free bag of tomatoes when we checked in. Close to centre of town. Very little highway noise
Disliked:- Park would be very uncomfortable in winter because of the severe cold Guyra is noted for.
Parking:- Drive in plenty of room to park
Local Information:- Mother of Ducks Lagoon. Some free camping here Not many spaces available

NSW, Boggabri, Boggabri Caravan Park

Poor value for money $30 for 2A, powered. Amenities are close to only some sites, were dirty, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic camp kitchen, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 2. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, bbq area lighting. No playground. No pool. Suitable for overnighter, suitable for families.
Liked:- Big sky country and a place to rest my head
Disliked:- Cramped showers, need cleaning as do shower curtains to remove the mould

NSW, Lightning Ridge, Opal Caravan Park

Friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $47.00 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, kiosk, secure entry, book swap available, wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 1. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs. No playground. Clean pool, heated. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Cleanliness and staff's friendly attitude
Disliked:- Advertised entertainment never started on time. Access to park at peak times - newcomers often would not keep a driver in vehicle. and vehicle could not drive into park causing queues along road frontage
Parking:- Just drive up and join the queue
Local Information:- Park is well serviced by buses to local tourist attractions. Walk in Mine. Chambers of the Black Hand, Grawin Opal fields and 3 pubs in the paddock (must do!) Artesian bore pool just 100m down the road and open 24 hours a day. Car door tours are very interesting.

Basic laundry, disabled facilities, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days, well maintained park, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Very spacious
Disliked:- Instructions for washing machine had been removed so I paid $10 for a $5 wash. Money was promptly refunded. Washing machine has no spin cycle. Laundry is marked as town OP Shop.
Parking:- Find a site and pay at Rural Centre in town to get keys to amenities

Qld, Nindigully, Nindigully Pub Campsite

No charge for camping/overnight vans. No powered sites. Showers available at pub No water to any sites
Average staff friendliness, no complaints. Unpowered. Amenities are close to only some sites, cleanliness was average, condition is good. Sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate sullage close by. No camp kitchen, no wireless internet available.. Quiet, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No BBQs. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- History of the area is displayed on pub walls. Collection of old and well worn hats displayed on walls of the pub bar. Outside beer garden seems very popular
Disliked:- Cost of a meal at the pub is a bit expensive for what you get. The famous hog burger, and other large (massive) burger etc are no longer offered.
Parking:- Drive in and find a site no water or power to sites
Added Touches:- Some sites used fires for cooking. BYO wood Use of fires depends on any fire bans etc. Fishing available in the river depending on river height
Road Conditions:- Good roads to hotel property but once on hotel grounds area turns very muddy/boggy if rain has fallen.

Qld, Warwick, DJ's Caravan Park

Park may or may not have BBQ or camp kitchen. We did not need one so didn't look for one

Liked:- Quiet located on a service road beside highway. Only a few kilometres from town
Parking:- Drive in and find a site. Manager comes around after 3.30pm to collect fees.

Qld, Roma, Roma Gun Club

Park is all bitumen - no grass. 2 big concrete tubs at each site provide tie downs for awnings as no pegs can be driven into ground

Liked:- Opportunity to shoot shotguns at flying targets for $12.50 person for 10 shots. Very safety conscious Thursday is fish and chip night. A box of fish'n'chips was $12.00 Would definitely stay again.
Parking:- I would recommend booking in advance. Park filled up very quickly after 2.30 - 3.00pm
Added Touches:- Happy Hour daily at 4.30pm at licensed bar Drinks at a reasonable price
Road Conditions:- Good roads

Qld, Miles, Possum Park Caravan And Camping Park

Shop is only open for a few hours in afternoon to coincide with happy hour. No foodstuffs are available at Possum Park - all BYO foods. Shop has a collection of hats, books, artwork, knitted beanies. Artist was in residence while we where there and we purchased some of his postcard prints and larger prints his level of detail was amazing. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH POSSUM PARK AT INJUNE RACECOURSE

Liked:- Very peaceful. Stars at night. Bird life and other animal life - but not keen on the snake in the Chapel

Road Conditions:- Roads in park itself are very narrow and winding care must be taken.
