Vic, Murrayville, Murrayville Caravan Park

Date of Stay: November 2015 Rating: 3.5
This is our third visit to this little park. Cost is now $10 but I don't know where else you can get a grassy powered site with clean amenities nearby for that price. It is a good base if you are exploring the nearby Murray Sunset & Wyperfeld parks. The local hotel serves good meals too. When we were there in May we were able to inspect the two new cabins, they are fantastic, one is fitted out for disabled living.

Last month we stayed at this park in a powered site. On our return visit we stayed in a basic cabin, at $70 a night for 2 people it was good value. Comfortable bed, sofa & LCD TV. The bathroom was small but very clean and tidy. The new managers have only been here for a couple of months and are doing a lot of work around the property.

Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade. Suitable for few days.

A huge park as others have stated, but as winter had just finished parts were closed off. Good roomy sites, they even came with a resident cat that would occupy your chair when you were out! Good price at $30 a night for 2 for a powered site. My only gripe was that they cleaned (and closed) the amenities at 8 am in the morning. I would have thought 10 am to be a better time, especially when you are staying for a few days and have a sleep in! Friendly staff.

This park sounded so nice when we checked it out on the internet. Rates were good at $30 for a powered site for 2 with ensuite (I note on their website it has now risen to $40). Unfortunately, it has been let run down and really needs a lot of maintenance to get it back up to a good condition which is a shame because it's in a great location.

As others have stated, this is a great caravan park. It was reasonably full when we got there but we were invited to check the sites out first to see if we would fit. Price is excellent at $30 for 2, the ensuites were immaculate, as were the laundry facilities.
