This is a very basic park. Drive through sites are available. The amenities block seemed to be newly refurbished. Telstra mobile and internet worked fine. Short walk to town and shops. Cost $30 for a powered site (2A). Disliked: No TV or radio reception, A number of permanents who burned a barrel fire and chatted outside, Some truck road noise from the road out front.

Qld, Hervey Bay, Ingenia Holidays Hervey Bay - Torquay

This caravan park is a real gem in a great quite location.
Friendly staff, no complaints. Good value for money $50 for 2A, powered. Paid $40, reduced for Ingenia stay 4 pay 3 deal. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean BBQs. Good playground. Clean pool. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Liked:- A lovely quite caravan park with spacious sites. Close to Torquay cafes and the esplanade bike / walking path.
Local Information:- Great fish and chips from Madigans in Torquay. Saturday market near Urungan pier. Good meals and marina views at Hervey Bay Boat Club.

NSW, Wongarbon, Billyo Bush Retreat

Billy'O Bush Retreat is a rural property of 250 acres, 4 kms from Wongarbon and 25 kms from Dubbo. Set on top of a hill, it offer fantastic views of the surrounding farmland. Very quite location and unique quirky amenities and facilities.
Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $50 for 2A PN, powered. Paid $50, reduced for . Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, no sites are shaded, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic camp kitchen, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, no permanent or annual vans. Clean BBQs. No playground. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Liked:- A lovely bush setting caravan park set on a top of a hill with stunning views. Great sunsets. The park is 25 kms from Dubbo and is a good base to explore Dubbo and surrounds. No dogs allowed.
Road Conditions:- Bitumen roads to the property: then a few hundred meters of dirt road to enter the park.

Qld, Toowoomba, BIG4 Toowoomba Garden City Caravan Park

This is a quite park situated in a suburban street away from any main roads. Big4 member discount. I saw several caravanners with dogs. Roomy sites, access roads were a bit tight but okay if you drive slowly. We would stay again.
Average staff friendliness, no complaints. Good value for money $35 for 2A, powered, shoulder season. Paid $32.40, reduced for Big4 discount. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, dump point, secure entry, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade. Good playground. Clean pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families.

Local Information:- Lots of gardens - we were there in September just before the annual garden displays in parks.

Qld, Sunshine Coast, Noosa Caravan Park - Tewantin

Lovely large park with palm trees and slab sites. Gday Rewards member discount. Reasonable size sites, they assist you with parking. The park is very quite. Heated swimming pool. Large amenities block which is in very good condition and was always clean while we were there. Camp kitchen has BBQ and a pizza oven. Free wifi, good Telstra mobile reception. Bus stop in street. Dump point. Friendly reception and park staff. I recommend: Coffee/cake at waterside café on Tewantin marina. Also Aust fish and chips there.

Qld, Airlie Beach, Seabreeze Tourist Park

This is a lovely caravan park - especially for grey nomads. Plenty of slab sites in a very peaceful and quite location. There is now a new resort style tropical pool at the rear of the park. The front office offer a discounted tour booking service. The location of this park is excellent. A short walk to the path / boardwalk into Airlie Beach. Next to a Shopping Centre, bus stop and a short walk to cafes. We recommend: My Rainbow cafe and the Fat Frog cafe.

Qld, Calen, St Helens Gardens Tourist Park

This is a small park which is fairly quiet and shady. We paid $25 for 2 adults for a powered site. A selection of grass, slab and drive through sites with power and water connections. The park has a covered pool and a camp kitchen. No dump point. Shower and toilet facilities are reasonable but might struggle in peak times. Telstra mobile strength of 3 bars with WiFi using your own mobile. Overall a nice shady park which is suitable for overnight or a few days. Park is pet friendly.

New managers took over in 2013 and are very helpful and friendly. This park is a hidden gem set amongst shady trees and historical bridges on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River at Gundagai.
Very friendly staff, staff helped us at the site. Very good value for money $28 for 2A, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by. No wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No pool. Suitable for month or longer.
Liked:- Stunning views of the Murrumbidgee River and historical bridges from the quite and mostly shady van sites.
Local Information:- 10 minute easy walk into town or drive to the scenic hill lookouts.

Liked:- Peaceful and quite park with lots of shade and roomy van sites. Close to nearby clubs and golf courses.
Disliked:- Mainly gum trees on caravan sites.

Vic, Werribee, Werribee South Caravan Park

This is a quite and peaceful park which is located close to the Werribee beach and boat ramp. The manager and reception were friendly and helpful and the facilities were kept clean and tidy. This park is a good base for exploring Melbourne without the noise of a big city.
Friendly staff, no complaints. Very good value for money $28.50 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Paid $24.94, reduced for $171 per week - 1 day / week free. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, very few annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Van parking, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, many permanent/annual vans. No pool. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families.
Liked:- The park was quite and peaceful with large sites. Good access to freeways and Werribee shops (10kms away).
Disliked:- Occasional drag racing at night on road at front of park.
Local Information:- Close to boat ramp and nearby Werribee Park mansion, rose gardens and open zoo. Also .well worth visiting the RAAF Museum at Point Cook
