WA, Hyden, Wave Rock Caravan Park

Date of Stay: November 2014 Rating: 3
Although the park is well setup and functional. The amenities block was clean but the cubicles were the smallest I've ever experienced and I'm only average size. If I was ever there again, I'd use the disabled facilities, at least they are a decent size. The nearby Museum, Displays and Info/Gift Centre are also worth a look, all after seeing Wave Rock and the Hippo's Yawn.

This park is a small park with basic facilities. Most sites had some shade, but very little grass. The amenities were basic, clean and functional. Powered site was $25/night and suitable for overnight stays.

Well done the owners of this property. A lot of effort is being put into making this park a destination, or at least a break in the long haul between Cobar & Broken Hill. All the powered sites are grassed and there are a multitude of unpowered site. The amenities block would have to be one of the best I've ever seen. Absolutely huge cubicles which includes your own basin. There's enough room for a "soft shoe shuffle" while you are drying. Very peaceful watching the sun set during happy hour and watching the bird life on the water.

Well appointed park. Most sites have ample shade and sites were large. Amenities were very clean and there is separate fish and oyster cleaning area. The entrance and reception have obviously been moved but the sign hasn't. The entrance is now about 100metres before the sign. We weren't the only ones caught. Also, they will accept Seniors card for a discount but it is not advertised, so you must ask first.

Great pet friendly park. Staff were great and they have done a great job with lots of added touches to satisfy customers. Very clean and well appointed amenities, great camp kitchen including wood fireplace for those chilly breezes. No pool, but the ocean is just a short walk away. We stayed 3 nights and would definitely stay again.

Nice outlook over the valley & golf course. Very friendly staff, staff helped us at the site. Reasonable value for money ($25 2A PN, powered, off-peak season). Amenity number was adequate to cope with the number of people, are close to all sites, were clean, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate small to medium vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by. Liked:- Quiet park and close to local facilities. The park grounds and good with a small rec ground and community pool adjacent.

Road Conditions:- Drove the minor roads from Temora to Coolamon. Road conditions were very good. A lot better than some of the major highways.
