Council owned park in need of a little TLC. Showers were large/glass door to cubicle and large drying area-plenty of hot water. However camp kitchen was musty with stale kitchen odours and in need of a good clean. Sites could use a tidy up. $30 per night powered-good for overnight or a few days. Coal Creek worth a visit.

Adequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, poor night lighting, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites. Basic laundry, no rec room, no camp kitchen, dump point, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Loved this park-Sawtell is a lovely town and just far enough away from Coffs Harbour. Lovely drives to Dorrigo and Bellingen. Used the back roads-pretty drive. We have been waiting for some time to come to Sawtell and will definitely come again.
$260 for 2A. Sites will accommodate medium to large vans.
Liked:- Open park with lots of room.Very friendly staff, amenities very clean and well maintained-best Wi-Fi I have come across - available in camp kitchen and close by sites-no limit and fast. New camp kitchen with 3 bbqs-2 ovens-2 microwaves-plenty of seating and always clean.Clean amenities with plenty of hot water-6 showers 6 toilets and 5 showers in mens, not busy while we were there.
Disliked:- Drying area in showers gets very wet. Had problems with TV in camp kitchen no C7 or ABC and someone had knocked the controls off.
Parking:- Parking available opposite office.
Added Touches:- Egg and bacon roll brekkie on Fridays
Local Information:- Main street has heaps of eateries, 2 clubs and a pub. Good coffee available at mobile cart at lookout most days. Small shops in main street worth a look.

$228 for 2A. Paid $203, reduced for Pensioner. Sites will accommodate medium to large vans. carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5.
Liked:- Very well maintained park with lots of improvement since our last stay. 35 permanents have gone and been replaced with 50 traveler sites. Close to lake and channel with good fishing and a short distance to shops and clubs.
Disliked:- Clause #4 specifies policy re bike, scooters and skateboards but is not adhered to. Adults and children (many) were helmet free and still on the roads when lights came on in contravention of park rules. At no time did any of the park staff make any effort to do something about it.
Parking:- Parking for 2 vans
Local Information:- Plenty of things to see and do all around the area
Road Conditions:- Good roads

Good laundry, no rec room, no camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless. Inadequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more.
Liked:- Proximity to town, creek and beach.
Disliked:- Park has been allowed to deteroriate-grounds are among the worst I have seen for some time-matting instead of slabs(which is ok)but grass growing through in places.Beach end of park has very little grass-road base in some sites and lots of dirt.At the other end most sites have a mix of sand and some grass.Did not see any ground maintenance at any time during our stay. Amenities would not cope in peak times. Hot water ok but impossible to keep drying area dry-had to dress outside of cubicle.

NSW, Wilcannia, Warrawong On The Darling

Date of Stay: October 2015 Rating: 4
Great little park-does not have all the bells and whistles but great facilities and lovely outlook. Made to feel very welcome by Dallas and Allison(temporary managers). Cake and scones every afternoon and entertained by Rissole the friendly emu. Would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to anyone for overnight or a few days. If looking for fuel there is a BP station in the back streets past the police station that was 13c per litre cheaper than the one on the highway.
