NSW, Milton, Milton Tourist Park

We were not asked the size of our van & allocated a site which was totally unsuitable. So steep was the access, it was bordering on the dangerous to negotiate. We returned to the office & got a refund & left.

On arrival staff very rude. Paid for two nights, but were made to feel so unwelcome that we sort a refund & left within one hour.

Qld, Bowen, Harbour Lights Caravan Park

Date of Stay: August 2013 Rating: 2
Unless you are lucky enough to get one of the few drive through sites, this park is only suitable for caravans 15 feet or less. The sites are short & roads narrow. This spoils what is otherwise a nice park with very good amenities.

Weekly rate. Large site. Excellent views. Free book exchange. Must do 4x4 drive to the top of Mt Nameless.

WA, Warmun, Bungle Bungle Caravan Park - Mabel Downs Station

Date of Stay: July 2012 Rating:
We went to this park because they offered a tour we were interested in. After paying $35 unpowered, we were told "Not enough drivers, tour cancelled". Then we were offered another tour at more than double the price. The amenities are fibre glass cubicles with inadequate ventilation & were stifling.

WA, Lake Argyle, Zebra Rock Mine Campground

This park is near the NT/WA border on the NT side. 10 klm dirt road access, would recommend sealing vents for this road. $20 per night 2A, unpowered. Friendly staff. Free tea & coffee. Free mine tour. Great fish & chips, $10 per huge serve - we had enough for the next night.

WA, Lake Argyle, Lake Argyle Resort and Caravan Park

Ours was a large, shaded, powered site. Tours arranged by helpful staff. Park overlooking Lake Argyle, with great views.

We were very disappointed with this park. Our site was next to the amenities, playground & swimming pool. Washing machines started from 5am & the pool gate banged constantly. Sites were tight and $35 PN was expensive. The staff were well aware of the noise, could have mentioned it to us or offered something else.

NT, Katherine, Knotts Crossing Resort Caravan Park

Well laid out park. All sites have en suite, solar powered hot water, laundry trough & clothes line. All sites curbed, reverse, angle parking bays large enough for caravan & vehicle or bus. Large concrete slab. Grounds very well kept. Weekly rate offered without having to ask. One of the best parks we have ever been to.
