Great Little park. Extra friendly staff. 30 bucks per night (pow 2A). Nothing to amuse the kids but sculptured animals kept both young and old amused. Supermarket (Woollies) and shops only a short walk away.Very clean amenities plus dump point. A morning and arvo cuppa was provided at the well appointed camp kitchen. Owner of park insisted on helping get one onto and off site even though not necessary which were quite generous in size. He even insisted on where one should park their truck probably because he wanted to protect his beautifully maintained gardens. They were a credit to him and his staff.

Reasonable value for money park at 33 bucks (pow 2A) per night. Friendly staff who assisted getting onto site although not necessary. Staff have done a remarkable in restoring the park after a cyclone ravaged Yeppoon in Feb. with only a couple of very minor things needing attention. Old but very clean amenities. Dump point. Average Camp Kitchen. Nothing at all to amuse the kids although park backs onto a beach with numerous entry points. Council playground at one end of the park closed no doubt due to cyclone damage. Good well sized sites and quite well maintained. Not much shade as park lost many trees due to cyclone. Centre of town and supermarkets about 4K drive. Would stay there again.

One of the best value for money parks we have stayed in especially for families as has nearly everything on offer to amuse the kids even with movies 3 nights a week. Clean pool with slide, mini golf, jumping pillows, playground etc. All in excellent condition. 36 bucks a night powered sites for us two old fart after discount. Friendly staff. Sites are an excellent size. Excellent amenities with a dump point. Very well maintained park. A staff member was mowing when we arrived which is always a good sign. Coles and Woolies only a stones throw away. Hub of the town is about 3k away so do not have to up with tourist trade. When we were there park was nice peaceful and quiet . Booking in advance a lot of the year would be a must.

Bit expensive at 45 bucks (powered and beachfront 2A) site after Big4 discount for what you get. Rocky beach at park but some beautiful swimming beaches only a couple of minutes drive from park. Sites are small and not the easiest to get on or off. However plenty of assistance is available if needed. Adequate amount of shade . Excellent amenities plus dump point. Good pool but very little shade. Small rec room and that was it for the kids. Maintenance of the park was about the best we have come across to the extent that i think they liked the sound of the motor mower. Parking to book into the park was most confusing as absolutely no signage present. Had to park on street opposite the park. Shopping center only a couple of ks away. CBD only a few ks away. Despite the minor shortcomings we stayed for an extra week than pl.anned

Not a bad park. We stayed for 10 nights (inc. Easter) and after some deal we paid 35 bucks (Pow 2A) per night. The park does not take pre bookings so it is the case of first in, best dressed. We arrived reasonably early and got about the best powered site in the park. Large site, plenty of shade and close to everything (amenities, pool, mini tennis court etc. Foreshore only a stones throw away. Sites out the back of the park were nowhere as large and not have a great deal of shade. Park was close to the CBD and supermarkets etc. were only a few km drive away. A well maintained park. Parking is on the street but well signed on where to park.

I refer to my report on this park some 2 and half years ago. Pleased to say park is still under same ownership and not one thing has slipped. In fact whilst we were there they started to renovate the male amenities block. Do not know why, as the present ones would rate in the top 25% of all amenities blocks we have used in our nearly 4 years on the road. We stayed 7 nights and paid for 6 deal. 26 bucks per night (pow 2A). Apart from an excellent pool and camp kitchen, there were no other extras. Ideal for old farts to sit back and do nothing. A BIG thumbs for those involved.

About the worst value for money park we have stayed in (30 bucks pow. 2A). On arriving at our quite large and well grassed maintained site, we discovered that we needed a key for the water tap. A walk to the office (no drama) sorted that out, however barely an apology was offered for that oversight. Soon discovered that park is full of permanents and back packers (very few caravan sites) which management do not do to much to encourage them to keep there sites clean. As such ending up into a grotty park. Internal roads were in excellent condition, but entrance road was full of potholes etc. Did not bother to check out the Camp Kitchen as the BBQ area was filthy. I refer to the Nicholson's report of 2011 re the amenities block. Nothing has changed in that area. No toilet brushes this time. With heaps of back packers I shall only leave that up peoples imagination.

Good little park. Excellent value at 27 bucks per nite (pow 2A) after TT discount and non peak season. Under new management who run a very maintained park. Good sized level sites all with slabs. Good pool and playground areas, however not very close together. Excellent camp kitchen. Amenities were very clean and served the purpose. Could do with a bit of a touch up, but then again Rome was not built in a day. Rained for the whole 3 days we were there and park coped very well with the excess water.

Qld, Cairns, BIG4 Cairns Crystal Cascades Holiday Park

Very good value for money park at 32 bucks at a nite (pow 2 A) after Big4 discount off season. Whilst it does not have all the bells and whistles to amuse the kids as the the Big4 in town it does have a pool which suits us old farts and is therefor a fair bit cheaper than the other. It does have a playground to keep them occupied. Friendly staff, Sites are not all that big combined with narrow would make it quite difficult in the peak season. Excellent amenities. Dump point. Close to main attractions of the town. Shopping center about 5 k away. Excellently maintained park

Average park and average value for money (32 bucks pow 2A). Only stayed so did not have a look around. From what I saw maintenance of park was OK. Amenities were excellent. Friendly staff. Good sized drive thru sits.
