Few changes in 2 years with Brad, Tanya & Jo working hard maintaining this neat grassy park. Freshly painted amenities and new washing machines. Jo especially helpful after we kept extending our booking due to flooding isolating Charters Towers. Rain also got into the parks electrical wiring and we were without power one afternoon while it was being repaired. Paid $38/night 2A powered with seniors discount.

Neat grassy park on the edge of the golf course a bit north of the town. Standard COVID-19 declaration required and drivers license sighted.
Very friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $38 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, basic rec room, good camp kitchen, disabled facilities, dump point, book swap available, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool, pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Dog friendly. Lots of grass. Great camp kitchen & pool complex. Chooks wander around the park after 4pm. Eggs available from reception. Vegies & herbs freely available. No playground but jumping pillow for kids
Disliked:- Some sites a bit close to each other. Single sheet toilet paper dispenser.
Parking:- Only a single lane entry & exit. Park outside when booking in.
