Liked:- Closeness to the boat ramp to go on fishing charters. Watching the sunset at the pub.
Disliked:- Very small sites with which take some getting into particularly when the park is full.
Parking:- parking bay defined for check in
Added Touches:- Have a very good fish cleaning area and disposal of the remains.
Local Information:- Fishing in the bay and catching decent fish was great
Road Conditions:- Sealed road all the way to Karumba. Some sections between Mt Surprise and Georgetown have one lane sealed and the edges are well maintained. There are many one ;lane bridges on this road and lots of road trains with call points. It is helpful if you use the call points to let the big transports know you are approaching the bridges.

Previous reports cover this park very well. We came to try some Gulf fishing but it was too windy for the operators to get out. Better luck next year. Cabin price was $134/night 2A peak season. Good location opposite a beach & close to the tavern. Roads in the park were dusty but water cart tried to minimize it. TV & internet reception good. No mobile phone service. Pleasant walk across the wetlands. Les Wilson Barramundi center worth a visit.
