older style park. very few sites and lot of permanents
Very friendly staff, no complaints. Poor value for money $45 for 2A PN, off-peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided. Inadequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, very few annex slabs, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, no rec room, basic camp kitchen, secure entry, no wireless internet available. carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Noisy, many permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- very few vacancies in the gold coast area, due mainly to covid, so we really had no choice. quite close to big shopping centres, and the southport yacht club was nice for lunch.
Disliked:- quite expensive for what it is. very few sites. we were put in the grassed overflow area, which has a few power points (needed to test several to find a working one) and taps, but both required 2 lengths of hose and power lead. mainly permanents in the park. ok for what it is. road beside the park is noisy during the day, but quietens down at night.
