11 sites only, all level and grass, most under shade. Power, water, and sullage pit to all sites. Barcaldine is voted the best water in Qld, so the owner suggests filling up your van tanks while here. $37 PN. A gazebo with free gas bbq and bins would make a good happy hour setting. Clean, spacious amenities. Laundry and book swap, with free iron. Away from the highway so nil noise. Friendly horses over the fence that love carrots. Calves and roos made an appearance in the paddock just behind. A popular cafe operates onsite from 9am to 2:00 Wednesday thru Sunday. I can recommend the Eggs Benedict. If you have breakfast there on your day of departure, you can leave at 11 rather than the usual 10 am. Jason, the owner since 2017, was most friendly and helpful with sights to see around town.
