This is a great caravan park, whether you are stopping for one night or one week. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Our booking arrangements for a group of 40 (caravans and cabins) was handled efficiently. Their kindness was above and beyond their responsibility when one of our members became unwell. The lake views are amazing with lots of water birds enjoying the environment.
Very friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $110.00 for 2A PN, cabin. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Good laundry, no rec room, good camp kitchen, late checkout allowed, dump point, van parking, book swap available, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Good playground, in good condition. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Liked:- Friendliness of all staff. Two camp kitchens; one is enclosed and has a piano, the other is a huge structure with open side walls
Disliked:- Noisy corellas in trees early in the morning
Parking:- Parking bays opposite the office
Added Touches:- Owners supplied enough meat for 2 bbq nights (with a big group) Discounts available at local wineries. Advice and info for most tourist places in the region.
Local Information:- Lots of wineries; Halls Gap and the Grampians; gold history; the Stawell Gift museum. The Gift Hotel serves excellent meals and can cope with large groups.
Road Conditions:- Due to the recent heavy rain, the Western Highway from Bacchus Marsh onwards towards the South Australian border is deeply pot-holed.
