Despite some internet sites stating that this park is permanently closed, it is open. It may be the only van park in Australia to have a hairpin bend in the middle of its entry road. Nestled in a flat gully, 700 metres from town via a footpath, this very old park has shade to many sites and a very basic and unfenced kids play area. The two amenities blocks are old but very clean. There are no cabins at all at this park. Local rumour claims they were destroyed by floods last year.
Very friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $40.00 for 2A PN. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic camp kitchen, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Basic playground, in average condition. No pool. Suitable for few days, well maintained park.
