Wow!!! What a find. The amenities are ultra modern in styling with under floor heating in winter and heated towel rails. They are spotlessly clean. You could not ask for more from a caravan park amenities block. Nearly all of the 40 or so sites have a double slab and about 10 back onto the river. The very friendly staff were forthcoming with local information. Rather than drive through sites, they have long sites with a slab that you back onto if you are doing an over-nighter and want to stay hitched up. The swimming pool is large and clean but shade and seating is limited in the pool area. An open walled camp kitchen looks a little tired but the stainless steel grills on the bench, instead of barbeques, are clean and in good condition. There is a little road noise but not enough to wake or disturb you. About 700metres walk/drive to town. At $30 ish per night that's excellent value. Night lighting is very uneven and there are some really dark patches. Wear your head torch.
Very friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $33.00 for 2A PN, powered. Paid $30.00, reduced for Kui Park discount. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, separate bathroom, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic camp kitchen, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Vodaphone, reception quality was 3. Open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for few days, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Liked:- It is well managed and organized. World's best amenities block.
Disliked:- Site frontages are a little narrow making on site car parking a little squeezy but its not an ordeal.
Local Information:- National Motor Museum is 3 km with $15 entry its a good look and a bargain. "Sporties" Club 200metres has good food but the service is a bit wobbly. Bridge Cafe is the best coffee shop in town - its on one of the round abouts.
