Although a couple of kilometres in NSW this park serves as a dormitory location for visiting Canberra. The city is about 15 km away but only a few minutes by fast motorway. It is a large spacious and roomy park, costing about $40 per night for 2A. What we paid was confused by a one-off discount. There are quite a few dog friendly, fenced, powered sites where your dog can run free once you have unhitched the van on the site and closed the huge gate. One camp kitchen is a bit "agricultural" and looks like it might be used for school excursions or similar. The other camp kitchen is fine.
Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. $40.00 for 2A, powered, peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers. No rec room, basic camp kitchen, car wash, dump point, wireless internet is available is free carrier used was Vodaphone, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No playground. Clean pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families.
Liked:- The fenced sites for dogs worked for all. Owners were happy, us non dog people were happy and the dogs were happy.
