Vic, Mildura, NRMA Riverside Holiday Park

Date of Stay: September 2024 Rating: 3.5
Pet friendly park some little way out of town and near to river. We found this park quite claustrophobic as it was very crowded and the powered sites were small and a bit tight with quite a few ensuite sites. (I concede it was a popular time of year). Amenities were clean, lighting okay and outside the park, plenty of room to exercise the dog. We were allocated a site that was between a fence and a park interior road. It was plain sandy dirt underfoot and no room to extend the awning (otherwise it would have extended onto the road). We were staying for one night only so it was not a big deal not to put it out. Utilites (P/W) were okay notwithstanding they were a little distance away. Sullage to shrubbery. Dump site present as would be expected in a busy park. New cabins had been constructed to rear of park and these looked quite neat with paving, lawn etc. Boom gate entry code, Complimentary wifi (5G per day). We paid $39.03 for the one night.

Vic, Swan Hill, BIG4 Riverside Swan Hill

Date of Stay: September 2024 Rating: 4.5
Have stayed at this park before and enjoyed it. Would liked to have been situated along riverside but as we were staying for two nights only we took a site towards the back of the park and away from the riverfront. This suited us. Park has community parklands next to it which are great for kids and adults alike and good for exercising the dog. A back gate (with code) provides a walk along riverside to the historical village and steamboat ride as well as a nice restaurant a little further along (Spoons Riverside) where the outlook over the river is quite pleasant from the decking. The village/steamboat in my view were a little exxy, particularly if you had a family. Park amenities were clean and well maintained, lighting, wifi etc all good. Short drive into town for shopping and restaurants etc. We paid $102.60 for two nights (Big4 disc). Would stay yet again.

NSW, Holbrook, Holbrook Motor Village

Date of Stay: September 2024 Rating: 4
A pleasant and well maintained park on the outskirts of Holbrook with somewhat of a rural aspect.. (dog friendly) Amenities were very clean and well maintained. A good Camp Kitchen. Utilities power and water good. Plenty of room to exercise the dog. Friendly staff. Lighting good. Accommodation for large rigs no problem. A little road noise but not enough to be annoying. short drive into town centre and Tourist office. WiFi available and Telstra reception good 4/5. Some local attractions of interest (submarine etc) and local hotel and RSL for meals etc. Would stay in this park again without hesitation. We paid $76 for two nights powered site.

SA, Berri, Berri Riverside Caravan Park

Date of Stay: September 2024 Rating: 4.5
A large pet friendly park adjacent to the Mighty Murray and a short walk to the local hotel (meals) and town centre. A cafe is located not too far away (River Jacks) where breakfast and other meals can be had. Well maintained, very clean amenities, good lighting etc and sites large(r) and easy to access. Staff friendly. Kiosk located within park where Pizza and snacks can be purchased. Berri is centrally located in the Riverland and provides convenient access to surrounding areas (Renmark/Barmera/Loxton). We paid $95.40 for two nights which included a $10 levy for having a dog. Asked why the levy, response was because some people do not pick up after their pets.!! WiFi available and good telstra 4/5. Would stay again no problems.

Qld, Sunshine Coast, Ingenia Holidays Noosa

Date of Stay: August 2024 Rating: 4.5
Very well maintained park located at 141 Cooroy - Noosa Road, Tewantin, next to a service station and near to the golf course. It is conveniently located close to Tewantin township and nearby Noosa. We have stayed there on a number of occasions previously and found it very suitable. Pricing has really increased (dramatically) since previous visits ($62.62pn) for a large powered site (that was not much larger than a normal site. (our van is 27ft from apex of draw bar to spare tyre assembly). This price was discounted for Big4/Ingenia. Some other sites that were occupied looked quite roomy. However we were quite happy with our site even though we had to park our vehicle just off the road and in front of the van. The park was quite full so I would say that we were there at a Peak Time. There is an onsite Fish & Chip/Burger shop. For the price everything was up to scratch as one would expect at the park. Pets allowed and room outside park to walk dog. A great park but some might find the pricing a bit prohibitive. We would stay again but perhaps choose an "off season" period if the price is reduced.

ACT, Canberra, Exhibition Park In Canberra - Mitchell

Date of Stay: August 2024 Rating: 3
A very large park within the Show Grounds. There are several entrances/exits to this park and to log it into the GPS can be a little difficult as it is listed as being under two suburbs, ie Mitchell or Lyneham (10 Flemington Road). We were not the only people to have this difficulty. We did get the GPS to recognize Lyneham. Once entering the main gate (off Flemington) and attending the office it was quite a distance to where the van park was located. we were directed to a site which on arrival we found to be quite unsuitable (bare earth) despite being told when making the booking that grassed sites were plentiful. There were plenty of vacant sites when we arrived so after surveying the area we chose a grassed site a little further away from the amenities block and rang and asked if it was okay ... no problem. Another couple who arrived after us had the same issue but were told they could not move to another site as they were all taken. We stayed four nights and there was still plenty of grassed sites available away from the amenities block. ????? The park is well located with Northbourne Ave nearby which takes you straight into the city. Markets are held weekly in a large (huge) shed nearby. There is plenty of room to exercise the dog. Amenities block could do with a bit more attention (and maintenance) and the utilities (power/water) are a little haphazard in their location. A dump point is present. The park in my view has a lot of potential. We paid $40PN. In the absence of a better park we would stay there again.

NSW, Cowra, Cowra Van Park

Date of Stay: August 2024 Rating: 5
Located alongside the Lachlan River this small park is a real gem. (Pet Friendly) The grounds are very well maintained and the amenities very clean. A short walk into town and another short walk to nearby parklands to exercise the dog. Sites are level, good lighting and everything else. We stayed at this park some years ago and it has improved immensely. Upgrades have been carried out since the recent flooding of the river. Friendly staff. We paid $80 for two nights, two ppl and pet. I think the park can accommodate large vans Would stay here again without a second thought. Telstra internet service good 4/5. Good for several days or more depending on what you want.

NSW, Dubbo, NRMA Dubbo Holiday Park

Date of Stay: August 2024 Rating: 3.5
A reasonable park for a stay of a few days. We had a drive through site with a slab that could have been in better condition and whilst we were directed to drive on to site from one direction, we ended up entering form the opposite to better have access to utilities connections. Other visitors had the same idea. It did not inconvenience anyone. Friendly staff, good lighting, laundry and swimming pool. PET FRIENDLY.( I think this was the only pet friendly park in town).Required code to access property boom gate. Good reserve adjacent to nearby McQuarrie River to walk dog. Was not bothered by road noise. Paid $68.58 for two nights, two ppl and pet. Reasonably close to town and the Dubbo Zoo.

NSW, Tamworth, Austin Tourist Park

Date of Stay: August 2024 Rating: 3.5
This park is conveniently located just a couple of kms from the CBD. One needs to take care entering/leaving park as it is close to a corner on the main highway. On arrival we were directed to a specific area of the park which was quite to the rear of the property and bordering a river/creek. The area to which we were directed was quite full however with only a few vacant sites that we considered unsuitable. There were ample vacant sites nearby and outside to where we were directed, and we chose one of them. Water and power were good and a small amenities block nearby and in addition to a much larger one located in the designated area was what I would describe as a transportable style building. The site we chose was grassed whilst those we had been directed to backed onto the river/creek and were less grassed and a bit muddy (there had been quite a bit of rain recently). We were quite happy where we ended up. A number of permanents evident mostly quite tidy. Park was quiet (being at the rear of property and away from main road) and staff friendly. Room to walk dog and adequate lighting. Would stay here again for a few days. Price reasonable at $40.50pn.

NSW, Coffs Harbour, Reflections Holiday Park

Date of Stay: August 2024 Rating: 4
Dog Friendly. We really enjoyed this park. It appears to be part of the local show ground complex. Staff were very friendly, amenities were quite clean although one set .. (the smaller building) was a bit dated, however the other block was quite modern. Everything was quite good although the power supply required the full length of cable to reach van. Good water pressure, lighting etc. We had a roomy grassed site and there was plenty of area to walk the dog. Location was close to CBD and price ($47.40pn) was quite reasonable. Suitable for a week or more. Would stay here again.
