Playground and coin BBQ. 3 night limit - same as Smythesdale. Good for a short break if you have your own facilities. Generators allowed until 9:30pm otherwise it’s mostly quiet. $35/n 2ppl, Power & Water. Best Showgrounds ablutions and commercial laundry that we have come across so far. Dump point here or another in town. Sites are poorly marked out and can be muddy otherwise grassy. NO matting permitted at all. Close power, water and drains to most sites. Very helpful caretaker. Greyhound club in adjacent property. All FTA TV, good phone & internet coverage. Main shopping centres only 5 minutes drive. Can be noisy, planes during the day and almost continuous road traffic. Would have preferred a site away from the entry area.

Lots of entertainment for the kids. Pool and a spa which is beaut in winter. Fantastic camp kitchen/ TV room. Ensuite sites. 3 rates, off peak, shoulder, peak - OP $33 p/n powered. Pay 6 stay 7. This caravan park was cleaned out a few years ago and was then set up for tourists only. Tidy park next to the Bowls Club who are also the owner. Well laid out but the sites are small, cars have to park across the front of the site. Some will find it awkward even on drive through sites. Good services to each site, 1/2 have slabs, cheaper laundry, good camp kitchen. Older but clean ablutions. Dump Point. No pool but walking distance to the shopping precinct. Good for up to a week. Member of the G’Day group so their additional discount applies on the nightly fee.

Level large grassy sites, all can be drive through. Fixed price sites powered $30/n unpowered $20/n no longer offering any discounts - new Showground committee rules. Helen and Kingsley are the most helpful caretakers we have met and they are doing a top job. We didn’t use the ablutions as we are self contained, Grey water allowed to go onto the grass. Dump point, excellent FTA TV, excellent phone coverage. Nearest laundry is about 1.5km away. Full service Woolies in town to restock the van.

Low cost RV park, min charge seems to be $20 for 2 nights. Camping permits from vending machine at entrance to be displayed on dash. Morning ranger patrol checking every site. Water station, dump point, toilets. No tents, no car sleeping, dogs ok. For us 2 days were enough. A local attraction is “Larry” the big lobster.
