15 rigs only permitted although there are many more powered sites available, 28 day limit. Power and a number of taps. Grassy sites. Quiet and nice location just out of town. Dump point. Pets. Use of toilet block, timer lights, hand wash, paper towels. Can use jockey room showers; male has one double shower, separate toilet; female has one shower with dressing area, large dressing room, separate toilet. Water goes cold after a few showers. NO disability access but there is a ramp to toilets. NO laundry. New shower and toilet block just for campers built but council not letting them use it yet. They hope to get permit to use more sites. Bonus; watching horses being trained early each morning. Paid $25 powered July 2017. We enjoyed our stay and returned for a few more days.
Average staff friendliness, no complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $25 for 2A, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was inadequate hot water. Inadequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, very few annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, no permanent/annual vans. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- Quiet and nice location just out of town. Dump point. Pets. New shower and toilet block just for campers built but council not letting them use it yet. They hope to get permit to use more sites. Bonus; watching horses being trained early each morning.
Disliked:- NO disability access but there is a ramp to toilets. NO laundry.
Parking:- Plenty of room outside Caretaker's residence

As for last report. Sam is still your caretaker. $25.00 a night 2A powered or $15.00 unpowered. Not all sites have water however there are taps where you can get water. New amenities block with toilets only. Older amenities in the jockey room showers and toilet. Get in early for a hot shower. They prefer you are self contained. No pegs allowed in ground as underground irrigation. Accommodates all sizes of rigs. Pet friendly. Dump point at the entry to the racecourse which is some distance from sites.

Still as per previous report. $25 per night powered, or 7 nights for special price of $105. There is talk of upgrading the facilities but not known when this will happen. Best to ring caretaker and check before arriving as they are closed to casual camping when events on or they have a group booking.

Manager's name is Sam.
Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Reasonable value for money $25 for 2A P/N, powered. Paid $105, pay for 6 stay 7 nights. Amenities are close to only some sites, cleanliness was average, condition is poor, water pressure is good, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, no sites are shaded. Late checkout allowed, dump point, no wireless internet available, you can use your mobile, wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park. No BBQs. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more.
Liked:- We liked the peace & quiet, lovely grassed area to park on with rough concrete slab under shade cloth as an alternative choice. Cheaper than the caravan parks on highway.
Disliked:- Power points are random along the area, not obviously placed, water is available but only a few tap points so you will need a long hose/borrow one from the caretaker or have adequate water on board. We did find a very old & basic shower but we didn't use it.
Parking:- No. Drive up to caretaker house & Sam will come out to see you.
Local Information:- Plenty to do. Visitor's Centre is very helpful. Provide a free walking tour Mon, Wed & Fri. Silverton is a 25km drive away, worth seeing. Art is big here now with lots of local artists here, there is only one mine that you can visit now. The Living Desert is also worth a drive out to.
Road Conditions:- Good roads, dirt as you enter the racecourse gates.
