WA, Newman, Oasis @ Newman

Date of Stay: October 2019 Rating: 0.5
Oasis it is not. The worst park we have experienced in nearly 30 years of caravaning. The worst parks on the Nullabor are an oasis compared to this. If it wasn't dog friendly we would rate this as a zero. Large dusty car park with scattered power poles. Part of a large workers accommodation site.

Amenities are close to most sites, were dirty, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Basic laundry, disabled facilities, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. No BBQs. Liked:- Dog friendly. With the closure of Kalgans rest park, this is the only option in Newman if travelling with a dog.
Disliked:- Overpriced. Amenities needed a lot of TLC. Inground red dirt in shower cubicles. Mens shower was leaking with water all over the floor. Latches on doors were broken. No effort made to reduce dust.
Local Information:- Tour of BHP Mt Whaleback mine for $25 worth it.
