Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, late checkout allowed, kiosk, dump point, secure entry, van parking, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Liked:- Valet parking of van by ground staff on a tractor. Dump point which is flushable. Recently renovated amenities.
Disliked:- Poor Wi-Fi. Keys required for amenities. Sites tight. The valet tractor man negates this a bit. Lady on the phone when booking a bit off putting. "I can't book a site till I know the length of the van". Ours is 7.8m tow ball to spare tyre. "Whats that in feet" 26 feet "We are very busy only 3 sites are available". But when we arrived the park was only half full with many vacant sites that could take a 7.8m/26 ft van. And when the park is half full, why put a huge motor home with slide outs right next door???
Parking:- Need to pull into driveway in front of the boom gate & toot the car horn. Office lady will then let you in.
Local Information:- Lots of wheelchair friendly walkways on both side of the lake.

NSW, Yamba, Fishing Haven Caravan Park

Date of Stay: September 2022 Rating: 4
This park was extensively damaged in the March 2022 floods. Harry & staff are trying to mitigate future flood damage by raising the elevation of some sites. Unfortunately the previous grassy sites are now covered with a thick layer of white gravel which is still very sticky in wet weather. Price is $44/night 2A powered and 7th night is free. For weekly stays Harry offered us a free 2hour session in the hire boat. 2 sets clean but oldish amenities. Coffee van on site. Park is right on the river, quiet, well lit & about 10mins from Yamba. Follow signs rather than GPS to find the park. Dog friendly. Fewer permanents than in previous visit.

No site pre-allocation. Take what is offered when booking in. We got a good site this visit and extended our stay. Price is $42/night 2A powered. Amenities modern & clean & showers spacious. Dog friendly. Patience needed when booking in because of a busy cafe with cramped car park near the entrance to the park. Morgans seafood around the corner worth a visit for both fresh & cooked seafood. Pleasant bayside walks

No changes in 2 years apart from the price. Now $58/night 2A powered. Not a lot of thought putting big vans with slide outs on adjacent sites. Makes the sites look small. Amenities modern & clean. Cleaning starts at 8.30AM. Travelers with pets are put at the back of the park where there are no slabs. Grass cover was good but got muddy after rain. Dog friendly. Nice & central & pleasant waterfront walks nearby.
