Previous reports cover this park very well. Price is now $33/night. Great camp kitchen. Good sized double concrete drive thru sites. Hot mineral spa pools. No security problems. Second shower from door in mens amenities has poor water flow. Too hot then too cold. Other showers OK. Spiky plants near taps. Newell highway at the Bogabilla end has extensive roadworks. Still a good park in a great central location. Price is still $240/week. No wi-fi, no shade, no recycle bins, no site pre-allocation. Take what is available when you get there. Management has a "take it or leave it" attitude. We were squeezed next to the biggest 5th wheeler in Qld with slide-outs intruding into our annex area. We will not be booking for a week in future. We will book for a few days & if we get a good site we may extend.

NSW, Trangie, Trangie Caravan Park

Nothing much has changed in 12 months & this park is hard to fault. Price is $27/night with Kui discount. Park is managed by Andrew who was voted Trangie's citizen of the year this year. His energy & passion come thru in the way he managers his park. He runs the free daily presentation & tour to the local cotton gin (in season). This goes for 2hours from 9AM & is not to be missed.

Nothing much has changed in 8 months. Still a great stop over. Price is now $210/week. Park mostly caters for workers but was quiet while we were there. Weekly markets have moved from near the information center to the showground. Prickly pear and cactoblastis research hall, 10km out of town worth a visit. Small quiet town and a good spot to "chill" out.

Another few days spent at this hard to fault park. Everything neat & tidy, managers friendly & helpful. We arrived without a booking & was advised that there were no vacancies. The managers happily let us use the amenities and by the time we got back to the van the park had had a cancellation. We had a neat grassy drive thru site close to the amenities and $25.50/night - great value and less than our last visit. Dog friendly and good TV reception.

Another pleasant week spent at this great park. New managers Jarron & Pip are continuing the previous high standard of friendliness & maintenance. Amenities squeaky clean & lawns & gardens neat & tidy. Book swap has disappeared. Garden bollards have been replaced by rubber van stops on concrete slabs. Decks on cabins have been replaced. Price is now the problem here. We were charged an average of $42.50/night which included a weekly discount. As from Feb 1 price is now $46/night, with extra for a slab (over grass), extra for Friday/Saturday, extra for a waterfront site, extra for school holidays, extra for popular local events. Final price could be over $70/night if you get your timing wrong.
