One of the nicest Parks I have stayed at. The $20.00 a night starts 1st May for off peak season up to 27th October. Not available long weekends, school holidays etc. This Park as a number of privately owned cabins located separately, but they are annuals and are not used for permanent accommodation.
Very friendly staff, no complaints. Very good value for money $20.00 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, very few sites are shaded, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, secure entry, wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Excellent playground, in good condition. Clean pool. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families, well maintained park, park is considered kid-safe, park is considered suitable for mobility impaired persons.
Liked:- Clean, well maintained, plenty of room, close proximity to water. Fantastic pool area.

$25.00 for one on a powered site was excellent value, but $35.00 for two adults dropped to reasonable value for this Park. This is the only Park suitable for tourists in the town, however, it only has about 8 sites, the rest are for a large number of annuals and there is a large area at the rear of Park for permanent residents in their own cabins. The residents really don't seem to be any problem but the tourist sites are intermingled with the annuals, which does not help the appearance of the area. From a Caravanners point of view it is not what you would call a tidy Park. General maintenance in the form of tree pruning, grass cutting and edges trimmed, removing the fallen debris from the trees etc. is well overdue. The pool and the amenities are of a high standard and seem to look out of place. The absence of a Dump Point does not encourage staying for too long. No playground but there is one in the council park opposite. I would stay again for a short period because I now know what to expect.
Friendly staff, no complaints. Very good value for money $25.00 for 1A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Inadequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, no rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, claustrophobic park, adequate shade, many permanent/annual vans. Clean UC electric BBQs fuel costs $1, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground. Clean pool, heated, pool is shaded, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for few days, suitable for families.
Local Information:- Lovely town with everything you need. Bunnings, Aldi, Coles, Doctors, Hospital, shops and eating places.

Vic, Inverloch, Inverloch Foreshore Camping Reserve

I reported on this Park in 2013 and most of that still applies. With the quantity of people in the Park on Holiday periods it could stand an increase in the number of times the amenities are cleaned. This year, (i.e.) in January, I ended up with a powered site that was so uneven that I required a 15cm (6") sleeper under one side to get the Caravan acceptably level. I then found I required a 20m (65ft.) long hose to reach the water on another site. I also needed a 10m (33ft.) sullage hose to reach the inlet because I had to park the van where I could get it level. That was the bad stuff. Not all sites are like this, but there a few. In billing year 1/4/2012 to 31/3/2013 the site fees for two people were $55 per day peak holiday season. It has gone up by $5.00 per day / per year ever since. I paid $75.00 / per day this January and next January I was advised it will be $80.00 /per day. Being this is a family park one has to add $13.00 for kids over 16 and $9.00 for those between 3 and 15yrs. This Park is managed by the Inverloch Big 4 next door. Enough said, but this offers a tap, a power point, a shower/toilet and a BBQ. It is only a couple of hours drive from Melbourne and it is a peaceful and quite park and it abuts a very average beach for the kids. There is a limit to what people will pay for this, and it has certainly passed mine. I was also told they want 4 nights minimum next Australia day weekend and Australia Day is on a Friday, good luck.

When coming down the coast from the north I often find that I need a stop but don't want to go into Newcastle. I found this Park rather difficult to find particularly when the sign was in a side street facing the opposite way to which I was travelling. The manager was great, directed me into a drive through site, pointed out where the connections were and the amenities and told me to fix him up with the $25 a night in the morning. Wow, how easy was that? The amenities were very clean. There was one drawback and that was the number of rather long coal trains heading to the port and returning. I was half tired after a long drive and a couple of Ports before lights out fixed the rest. I thing it was worth not having to battle the peak hour traffic into Newcastle and the $25 - well what can I say?

NSW, Port Macquarie, Edgewater Caravan Park

Date of Stay: September 2016 Rating: 2.5
Since the last report most of the Park roads have been repaired. There is about 128 cabins for permanents and tourists, and about 27 powered sites and 4 ensuite. The river views have been reserved for cabins. I can't say the permanents adversely affected the Caravanners but they certainly did nothing to improver the overall appearance of the Park. There is a very nice outdoor area been constructed down by the river which looks out of place with the rest of the Park. There is a rundown mini golf area which I did not see any one using in the week I was there. Maybe the $4 a person contributed. The Camp Kitchen in the middle of the park was OK but dirty compared with the river side one but in both cases the BBQs were filthy. The laundry floor look like it had not been cleaned in a month and the old top load washers were dirty around the top area and were $5 a load !!! The toilet cubicles were tiny with the bowl turned on an angle to help access and the chipboard doors were just rotting away. The dump point was easily accessed, it has a large heavy stainless steel lid and a tap but no hose to help keep the area clean. OK for a short stay but $40 is over the top.
Friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Poor value for money $40 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Paid $256/wk, reduced for Staying 7 nights. Amenities are close to most sites, cleanliness was average, condition is reasonable, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Inadequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, very few annex slabs, no sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, basic camp kitchen, dump point, secure entry, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 3. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, many permanent/annual vans. Dirty UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Basic playground, in average condition. Dirty pool, tables and chairs provided. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- The grassed sites were in fairly good condition
Disliked:- Totally surrounded by cabins for visitors and permanents.
Parking:- Only one van would fit in driveway.

Park is on corner of Wommin Bay Rd. Phillip St. Entry is in Phillip St. There is approx.110 cabins in this Park, all except 20 are for permanents. There are almost 60 powered sites including 8 Ensuites. I can't say they are a problem but everywhere you go, you are surrounded by cabins. There is a bit of traffic noise but I did not take any notice of it.
Friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Good value for money $35 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. There are a small number of powered slab sites but the majority are Ensuite. There are quite a number of permanents in cabins but they are sectioned off into their own area of the Park. Showers in toilet block are the largest I have ever seen. There are two separate Camp Kitchens complete with their own BBQ's The site fees are excellent compared to the other parks in area and a stay 7 pay 6 seems to be available most of the year. First visit for us and we will certainly be back next year. If you have children then there are three large parks along the foreshore but they cost a lot more.
Friendly staff, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $32.00 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Paid $192/wk, reduced for Stay 7 pay 6. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, separate bathroom, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Inadequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, annex slabs to most sites, very few sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good camp kitchen, kiosk, disabled facilities, dump point, secure entry, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, many permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Liked:- Quiet Park about 1km from esplanade and beach.
Parking:- Entry ok for a couple of vans, ample easy parking in street.
Local Information:- There is a nice Esplanade along the beach with lots of touristy shops. About 1km inland are the new large shopping centres. Plenty of medical facilities with a new Hospital and more.

QLD, Gold Coast, Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park - Palm Beach

Date of Stay: August 2016 Rating: 4
Prices are expensive but you are paying for what the Gold Coast has to offer, and all of the Council Parks are the same price. Some sites are difficult to access. The Park offers some assistance but I am yet to be convinced the help is suitably qualified. There is rarely enough sites in these parks in peak periods so book early. There are a few permanents / long term but they are located in different areas. There is a little noise from the road but not a major problem. When I phoned I hang on for ever and eventually leave a number to call then this always seems to take at least 24 hours to happen. Even when in the office/kiosk they take their time in serving you. Not good on the service. Weekday site cost is $46.00 and Friday/Saturday is $54.00 and all previous discounts seem to have been stopped.
Friendly staff, average staff response to complaints. Reasonable value for money $54 / $46 for 2A PN, powered, shoulder season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, some unlevel sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, secure entry, wireless internet is available costs , you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, a few permanent/annual vans. UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Good playground. Clean pool, pool is shaded, kid-safe pool area, toddlers catered for. Suitable for month or longer, suitable for families.
Liked:- Location on the water.
Disliked:- The time taken to answer and return phone calls. The entry and exit gate constantly playing up.
Parking:- Room for about 3 Vans.
Added Touches:- Check weekly board for free byes and activities.
Local Information:- This is the Gold Coast, they have everything here.

NSW, Moree, Gwydir Carapark

Date of Stay: August 2016 Rating: 3.5
Friendly and efficient staff. $32.00 per night 2 adults powered. A large park with a mixture of long stay, short stay and over nighters. Obviously the hot thermal pools are a big draw card for those with aches and pains. Very busy in southern winter but the numbers staying there do not seem as many due to the large area the Park occupies. I phone an hour or two out to check on site availability. All amenities and services are clean. Alternative Park is Mehi which is small and fills quickly. Road works have made it necessary to change the entry point to Gwydir Park so if approaching from the south the entry is further along the Highway so "SLOW DOWN" and watch for signs. My stays here have ranged from 4 days to overnight and I keep coming back.

NSW, West Wyalong, Ace Caravan Park

Date of Stay: August 2016 Rating: 3.5
Friendly staff. $29.00 for 2 adults with power. Amenities are clean. Laundry, BBQ and pool all good. Sites fill quickly so arrive before 4pm. Drive through sites are popular as many people only stay for an overnight stop. We have stayed a number of times over the years and will continue to do so. Even though price keeps increasing each year it is still reasonably good value for money.
