Very good park in a good location. Well laid out, good amenities and good facilities. We spent a week here and enjoyed it very much. Quite popular for extended winter stays, so it's better to book ahead. A little bit away from some of the attractions around the Sunshine Coast, but that didn't worry us. Parking assistance provided. Hairdresser, cafe, petrol station all on site. Depending where you are you can get a little road noise. This would not deter us from staying again.

Qld, Agnes Water, Agnes Water Beach Caravan Park

Date of Stay: August 2014 Rating: 3.5
We have just spent a month here and it is a great location and a good park. Situated right on the beach and about 500metres from the shops it offers a great place to spend a few days or a month or more. Very popular so don't expect to get a site if you haven't booked. The amenities and camp kitchen are a bit old and certainly need some revitalizing, but are adequate. The camp kitchen and the laundry share the same area. With only 3 washing machines it is often hard to get one. Extended stays represent the best value. We paid $35 per night but were there for 30 nights. The park has a coffee shop which is an added advantage.
Friendly staff, no complaints. Very good value for money $35 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to all sites, cleanliness was average, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to some sites, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Local Information:- Good location and plenty of walks, cruises etc to keep you occupied for a month or so.
Road Conditions:- Bitumen, but like most QLD coastal roads generally poor and on the rough side.

Qld, Kingaroy, Kingaroy Showground Caravan Park

Date of Stay: July 2014 Rating: 2
Manager's name is Council owned..
This is the local showground situated on the Bunya Highway. We were there over a weekend and Monday and whilst situated on the highway there was no noise. Easy to find. The grounds are owned by the Council, but managed by a local volunteer organisation. The reception is not always open and you find a site and come back later to pay. Being managed by volunteers, the maintenance and daily upkeep leaves a little to be desired. Garbage is not emptied daily nor are the amenities cleaned on a daily basis. The amenities are very basic. Showers are large and roomy but virtually no dry area. There Is plenty of room to park the van, but a limited number of powered sites. Having said that it was very pleasant and quite suitable for a few days. Very handy (walking distance) to shops. Suitable for a few days and I would use it again for an overnight or couple of days stay.
Friendly staff, no complaints. Reasonable value for money $25 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, were dirty, condition is poor, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Poor laundry, no rec room, no camp kitchen, dump point, no wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade, a few permanents. No BBQs. No playground. No pool. Suitable for few days.
Liked:- Large grounds and ease of parking. Close proximity to town and shops.
Disliked:- Amenities in dire need of repair and upgrade. Lack of daily maintenance.
Parking:- Limited parking off road at reception.

Qld, Gold Coast, Ocean Beach Tourist Park - Miami

Date of Stay: June 2014 Rating: 3
Manager's name is Council Owned.
Small, well situated park. Very handy to the beach, close to a range of major shopping centres and handy to the entertainment area of Broadbeach. The park is small and some of the sites are a bit tight and hard to navigate. It would certainly pay to check the site out beforehand to ensure you can get the van in and out. SItes are fairly close together. Having said that we enjoyed a three week stay and would visit again.
Very friendly staff, no complaints. Reasonable value for money $42 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Paid $40, reduced for extended stay. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate small to medium vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Liked:- Very well kept and clean park. Excellent pool and camp kitchen. Good amenities. Close to beach. Slab for van and annexe on many sites.
Disliked:- Quite a number of sites are above the road level. This results in the draw bar on the van being very close to the ground and you cannot easily fit the jockey wheel to unhitch or hitch up when leaving. It is often necessary to jack up the van up in order to fit or remove the jockey wheel. It pays to select your site very carefully.
Parking:- Parking available to entrance.
Added Touches:- Free breakfast of a Friday.
Road Conditions:- All good.

NSW, Port Stephens, Halifax Holiday Park - Nelson Bay

Date of Stay: May 2014 Rating: 3.5
Nice friendly park. Well grassed sites and most have two slabs for van and annexe. Some sites a bit tight due to the number of fixed or holiday vans. Would be awkward at peak times. Suitable for a week or more. Would visit again. When booking online you miss the Seniors Discount. We did, but received a number of laundry coupons to make up the discount.
Very friendly staff, no complaints. Good value for money $32 for 2A P/N, powered, off-peak season. Paid $29, reduced for Seniors Discount. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, hard to negotiate into site, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, no rec room, basic camp kitchen, kiosk, dump point, secure entry, no wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless, carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 5. Liked:- Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to shopping. Pleasant atmosphere.
Disliked:- Could be more garbage and recycling bins. All bins located at entrance of park and this is a little inconvenient. Some sites need two power cords to reach power box.
Parking:- Parking available at entrance.
