Average staff friendliness, no complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Poor value for money $49 for 2A, powered. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, extra charge for shower, paper towels/dryer provided. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Optus, reception quality was 4. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade, no permanent/annual vans. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting. No playground. Suitable for few days, suitable for families.

This is the Showground and it is undergoing lots of work and they are adding more sites.
Cost is $40 pn for p&w.
Most sites have slab for the caravan and artificial grass for the car. All sites are level.
Very open with no shade.
Water and sullage close by.
Amenities are reasonably close to most sites and are in a good and clean condition.
Closest park to Hobart.

If you are catching the ferry to Tasmania for an extra $15 you can have a late checkout ie mid afternoon.

This is now a free camp. There is no power but water is available in some spots.
No showers but toilets are available and are cleaned regularly.
Plenty of room and worth staying even to just support the local businesses.
