We stayed here in caravan last year, but this time we utilised a "Deluxe" Cabin. it was clean and comfortable. and good value for money. Everything worked well. . As mentioned previously, Very noisy at night from the heavy industry during the night nearby (Not a Park faultat all, just a heads up.)

Friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff helped us at the site. Good value for money $30 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, separate bathroom, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, no sites with annex slabs, very few sites are shaded, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. No rec room, basic camp kitchen, dump point, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Optus, reception quality was 3. Clean UC gas BBQs are free, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Suitable for few days, well maintained park.
Liked:- Quiet little park with many friendly permanents, Clean and tidy amenities, beautiful thick lawns for the nocturnal visitors to feast on
Disliked:- The BBQ we used was clean but the knobs were too worn to be useful the only way to shut it off was to turn off the gas.. Koondrook Council needs to replace these ancient BBQ's before someone has an accident,,

Friendly staff, no complaints, staff helped us at the site, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $25.00 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, good rec room, basic camp kitchen, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4. Noisy, open & roomy park, adequate shade. Clean UC electric BBQs are free, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No pool. Suitable for overnighter.
Liked:- Convenient layover, generally Quiet except for trucks occaisionally using echaust brakes and nearby trains rumbling pas
Disliked:- Fuss and ado about available site and sites and being squeezed in even though many sites are empty.....?
Parking:- No
Local Information:- Walks local public pool nearby good pub and skatepark... local bowling club next door
Road Conditions:- All good.

Tas, Latrobe, Latrobe Mersey River Caravan Park

Very friendly staff, no complaints. Reasonable value for money $38 for 2A PN, powered. Amenities are close to all sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, very few sites are shaded, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic rec room, basic camp kitchen, van parking, wireless internet is available is free, you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Telstra. Quiet, open & roomy park, inadequate shade. Clean UC BBQs, congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Suitable for few days, suitable for families, well maintained park.
Liked:- Close to Ferry Terminal, manager friendly

Local Information:- Great little town, but very hard to get a booking at the local. We ended up at Launceston...They at least tried to squeeze us in.

Tas, Crayfish Creek, Crayfish Creek Van And Cabin Park

Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, extra charge for shower, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, poor night lighting, sites will accommodate medium to large vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to most sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Good laundry, good rec room, good camp kitchen, kiosk, book swap available, no wireless internet available., mobile wireless not available carrier used was Telstra. Quiet, open & roomy park, adequate shade. No playground. No pool. Suitable for a week or more, suitable for families.
Liked:- Openess , friendly office staff,tiny kiosk that seemed to have everything. Camp kitchen/lounge well thought out and capable of multiple good usage the creek, A clear water tidal creek and kid friendly as long a they are supervised. The camp kitchen was excellently laid out but the march flies were horrendous (not a park problem) Aerogard etc is a must. people coming and going would leave the doors open.. GRRRR I really like this park and stayed for 4 nights.
Disliked:- Having to pay for showers. At $25.00 pn unpowered the showers should be included. (the cost was not expensive, but it's the principal of it) If water supply is a problem, it is easy to time the usage, however there is no supply shortage as long as coins go into the slot.
Parking:- excellent
Added Touches:- yes fires OK with permission and fire restrictions
Local Information:- The Nut, hotels nearby for a meal and Stanley restaurants handy, touring to Arthur Rv. and into the centre great place as home base.
Road Conditions:- Bass HWY... good. backroads narrow.

Re facilities... Ablution block... Heated, how good is that? it was very very cold on the night too.

Liked:- Close enough to get to from Ferry Open fire utilised and shared by fruit pickers staying there. interesting people from all over the world,
Disliked:- Finding it... poor road signage, unless you are local, you will end up in Meander. My GPS tried to send me in another direction as well, it was lost too..Not a park problem, Maybe a sign with an arrow of reasonable size at the turnoff.

Local Information:- Passing through, late arrival, Hills look interesting lots of bush walks
Road Conditions:- No problem, a bit narrow but easily travelled.

Great little park, this place is QUIET! Take the fishing gear. ... fishing is good due to the only noise is crashing waves The BBQ area has all you need Cleanliness is reasonable and the kiosk booking office user friendly. Management is very approachable. Well worth a visit or two. good road going in tho partly dirt ... Come in from the Penong end... The other road from the Nandroo end will shake the daylights out of your rig and remove fillings It is ALL dirt. Did I mention it was quiet?..I will return....

Average park, truck noise very evident . LOTS of room, great Pizza and good amenities. Mozzies well trained and even wear bibs while they eat. very easy going park.
