Tas, St Marys, St. Marys Sports Ground

Date of Stay: June 2021 Rating: 4
This is a community run camp ground which is basically a "free camp". All flat sites with mostly grassed level sites, some with shade trees. Excellent flushing toilets, HOT showers [$2 fee] and is very dog friendly. Is attached to the footy field, golf course and the little used trotting track. The town a short walking distance away has all the necessities of life i.e. coffee shops, bakery, pub with evening meals [ can recommend same] and IGA supermarket, and fuel servo. Only 25 klms from the coast via St. Mary's Pass. Whilst a free camp they do offer a facility for a cash donation.

Date of Stay: December 2019 Rating: 4.5
Back for another holiday, and whilst the park was excellent 2 years ago it is now even better. The clean amenities have had a face lift and were as clean as previous. The old camp kitchen has been replaced with a new enclosed kitchen and the old bbq shelter replaced with a new "bus stop shelter" complete with brand new gas BBQ. Once again we paid $30 p.n. with seniors discount and received Xmas presents from the owners on Xmas Day. Well done Penny, Sue and Boris. In the words of General MacArthur.. " we shall return"
