This park could be and should be rated around 4 if it was properly managed and maintained. We arrived to find no-one in office so we rang the number and were told our site was number 6 and that she would be down later to collect the fees. We were there for 2 nights and did not see anyone for the entire time. We rang again before we left and the person who answered said she will ring us tomorrow. We saw at least 2 vans leave without paying. As for the park, it is really in need of work. An effort has been made to spruce up the amenities with new flooring and recently painted. The amenities just need to be cleaned regularly. There is soap, paper towels and hot water pressure is good. The sites are reasonably flat with no concrete slabs. Most sites are overgrown, in need of mowing and trimming. Only the centre strip and a few sites near the entrance to the park had been mown.

It’s been a year now since the floods and the town has nowhere near recovered. There are caravans parked all over town with residents waiting for their homes to be restored or rebuilt. It’s because of this that the caravan park has a couple of permanents. The other park in town has many more.
Friendly staff, good staff response to complaints, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money $35 for 2A PN, powered, off-peak season. Amenities are close to only some sites, were clean, condition is very good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, dry change area, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation, disabled facilities. Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, annex slabs to most sites, shade to some sites, ensuite sites available, drive-through sites, adequate taps close by, adequate sullage close by. Basic laundry, good camp kitchen, dump point, no wireless internet available., you can use your mobile wireless carrier used was Optus, reception quality was 4. Liked:- Well maintained, peaceful park within walking distance of town. Would stay again
Local Information:- There is silo art and a lane in town where the walls are a pictorial of the life of Victorian policemen Ron Iddles. We’ll worth a look.

The pub has been sold, the new owners are in the process of renovating. The bicycle track was put on hold, but they are back working on it and it should be completed by September, fingers crossed. Stil one of our favourite places. The veterinary clinic is also worth a mention. Best value for operations, medication and general care.

A working farm that have allocated a large area for powered and unpowered sites. They have planted a lot of trees to create a caravan park feel. There are a few cabins and what appears to be a Glamping cabin well away from the caravan sites. It’s a Kui parks member and dogs are allowed. You are welcomed to the park by 4 border collies and Rachel!

Small park in quiet location. Amenities are old but clean. It appears that there will be new owners/managers soon. $40 with power a little overpriced. Good for a few days to explore the area, better as an overnight stay.
