SA, Mount Dutton Bay, Woolshed Caravan Park

Date of Stay: September 2021 Rating: 0.5
We have stayed at much better freecamps, that had nothing to offer. There are cleanish toilet, pay an extra $2.50 pp for a 3 min shower, $14 for an unlevel, un-powered site covered in bindii with a view of the bay 95% obstructed by trees. No power available. No water to sites, only rain water, cannot top up tanks. No sullage. Good for 1 night if you have no where else to stay.

Liked:- Very quiet park, mostly permanent sites with friendly people only about 20 sites available ALL are ensuite.
Disliked:- Shape of sites is a triangle (8 sites set around a block of 8 ensuite ablutions block) but plenty of room to set up our 18ft van (could fit a 21ft easy) and awning and still room to just fit car on (car can be parked on roadway if you want) It's just different, not really a dislike

SA, Karoonda, Karoonda Apex Caravan Park

Date of Stay: September 2019 Rating: 3.5
The 3.5 rating does not reflect the state of the park only the lack of "entertainment" in it This is a great LITTLE caravan park with only 8 sites This is a simple caravan park for a couple of nights stay Facilities are water, power, toilets and BBQ available at the adjacent park fot $1 Toilets are 4 individual ensuite in one block with one being for handicaped, Entrance to the toilets is via security keypad with the number supplied at the council office when you book in and pay the $15 per night fee The park and toilets are well kept and clean Adjacent is a 48hr freecamp with toilets available during the day and a dump point There is a shop in town, a bakery/cafe, ample fuel outlets, a laundromat, and a nice pub which serves reasonably priced meals with Thursday night being cheap schnitzel or fish nights The newly painted silos are an attraction here and it's worth staying at least one night to see the nightly light show on the silos, featuring artist from the area and a change of art every month This is a friendly country town, well worth a stop over

SA, Loxton, Milich's Landing

Date of Stay: June 2012 Rating:
By the river, not good for big rigs, 15-19ft OK. 1km good dirt road, then is steepish and a bit rough near camp area (still OK for 2WD), 1/2 dozen spots available, directions were from visitor centre who were helpful with directions to 2 campgrounds for free-camping.

SA, Ramco, Ramco Point Camping Area

Date of Stay: May 2012 Rating:
Over approximatly 3.5km of riverfront, good dirt road, a little sandy but OK for 2WD. Toilets and industrial bin at reserve but NO overnight stays allowed at the reserve. Further along the track gets a little rough (but still OK) but sites are smaller eg camper/tent. No other facilities, take your rubbish with you. And unlike previous filthy mungrels do not empty your portaloos on the ground for others to bury. Camping is allowed here for a maximum of 7 days, but not on the left of the grassed area where the toilets are, this is left open for getting boats in and out. To the right is for big rigs and the next 2-3k on the left for camping and smaller vans (mind you there was a 24 footer in here and no problems). The area is grubby in places and we have already had one clean up (of the area we are in). Later this avo we're going for a walk to do an area a bit further up. We were in the town yesterday and I called into the council office to tell them the industrial bin was full and to thank them for having this spot open, which they appreciated.
