NSW, Batemans Bay, Shady Willows Holiday Park

Date of Stay: October 2013 Rating: 3.5
We liked this park, a lot of annual vans and cabins, would prefer not to be here for school holidays though. There are some uneven patches in the road so had to watch our step. The managers were friendly and helpful. Our van is 20 feet and that's about as large as they can take. I would recommend booking ahead if you want to stay, they don't have a lot of casual sites. Friendly staff, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money ($26 2A PN, powered, shoulder season). We paid $23.50 because of Seniors card. Amenities are close to most sites, were clean, condition is good, water pressure is good, there was adequate hot water, soap provided, paper towels/dryer provided, exhaust fans/good ventilation. Inadequate number of tourist sites, some level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate small to medium vans, no sites with annex slabs, shade to most sites. Good laundry, no rec room, basic camp kitchen, book swap available, no wireless internet available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4). Quiet, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, a few permanents. Clean UC gas bbq (free), bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. Basic playground in good condition. Clean pool is shaded. Suitable for few days, suitable for families.
Liked:- Close to town, shady sites, good Internet and phone connection , price, value for money, washing machines only 2 dollars at time of writing this, cable available from office for TV if needed (some sites ) free of charge, friendly managers.

WA, William Bay National Park, Parry Beach Campground

Date of Stay: March 2013 Rating: 3.5
Parry's Beach now has a height restriction for caravans, nothing over 2.75m allowed, if you can't fit under the bar at the entrance you are not allowed in, and length restriction of 6.4 metres overall length, very disappointing as it was beautiful there. We drove in the 6km only to be told the council had put a height restriction on the camp site. I just thought I would warn others if you are under that height then a fantastic place to stay $10.00 a night.

SA, Burra, Burra Caravan and Camping Park

Date of Stay: October 2012 Rating: 4.5
Manager's name is Anne & Wayne. We stayed here for 6 weeks. The park is spotless as are the amenities. On arrival we were told about Burra and the facilities and attractions available there. Anne was friendly and informative. The park is really quite and only 2 minutes walk into the town. We later met Wayne, he was also very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this park, and Burra itself. We had a great time here and will definitely be back. Very friendly staff, staff offered tourist advice, staff explained park layout and facilities. Very good value for money ($25 2A PN, powered). Adequate number of tourist sites, mostly level sites, good night lighting, sites will accommodate large motorhomes and 5th wheelers, no sites with annex slabs, shade to some sites. Good laundry, no rec room, good camp kitchen, late checkout allowed, dump point, wireless internet is available, you can use your mobile wireless (carrier used was Telstra, reception quality was 4). Quiet, open & roomy park, plenty of shade, no permanents. Clean UC electric bbq (free), congenial bbq area atmosphere, bbq area lighting, seating provided at bbq. No playground, no pool.
Liked:- No permanents very quite, easy walk to town, lovely playground next to the park, the managers
Parking:- No
Added Touches:- Free BBQ some nights, fires only at camp kitchen
Local Information:- We found Burra a great town to stay a while, the history here is wonderful, the buildings in town are mostly original stone miners cottages, people here were very friendly and helpful, we didn't have any trouble finding things to do for the 6 weeks we were here, good 18 hole golf course.
